- There was some drama in Nairobi's Central Business District as a traffic police officer manning the General Post Office round about along the Kenyatta Avenue forced his way into a vehicle after what appeared to be a disagreement with the motorist. The Wednesday afternoon incident which was captured by Citizen Crew caused a temporary traffic snarl up, with the trafffic police officer driving the vehicle towards Central Police Station and leaving his colleagues to continue manning the post. The driver of the car abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
In Kenya we have No police officers we only have thugs in police uniform...what reforms?
True
It’s shameful to traffic police force, no matter what triggered between them.He should go for refresher course immediately.
Refresher discipline
The offcer was lucky the guy didnt have a panga
He should be fired
He should come to Naija and try that. We’ll deal with him properly.
It’s xxx
Stop the car.. Inform the driver of what he has done wrong.. Get details of the driver and the car. Issue a ticket or order the driver to take his car to the nearest police station. The driver if ignores all that you have said will be looked for and prosecuted. You don't need to jump in the car. That's risking your life and is also against the law. 🤷🏾♂️
He has a charge book to book the driver and give a date to appear in court If not accident or driving a vehicle without insurance

Sometimes we pretend that we live in a normal country. Such clips remind us that no, our society is not normal.
Absolutely
Exactly
He just proved to be a criminal ... He should be arrested for breaking inn? Whats happening to our forces🤔
He doesn't even mind being seen on Camera.
Should be condemned if it was the lady the country would have been on fire
If a man is done wrong, it looks okay.

So shameful
Well. As much as we respect their work. We also need somebody to interpret the law for us. Where are the limits or the boundaries on such incidents. Wakiri Omari . Plse educate us on this.
How could he do that!
That's not right
Forcefully enter someones car,,, Proceed to eeject the and still drive the car??? Where on earth is this possible....
In Kenya
This only happens in Kenya
In whose hands are we safe?
God's hands, think of nothing else
Si angechukua number plate........currupt police officer.
Exactly maybe he haven't succeeded with his intentions
That thug must be prosecuted. Teach traffic police their limits.
Such shameful acts only happens in Kenya, am ashamed of our Kenyan government for failing us. What is the use of number plates?? Why forcefully enter someone's car? The 2 people in the car are not armed
I wish they were armed to take him out cold stupid man
Very shameful in the 21st century.we need total overhaul of traffic police
This is not the work of a traffic police, this guy belongs to ngedo gangs, n fact he's risking life, he should go back to police school this is unprofessional.
Primitive indeed.
This is a very determined hardworking cop. Surely Kenyans, water people disconnect water at night to divert to their businesses, kplc gives power when they want ....we stopped being normal a long time ago.
I think recruitment accademic requirements of police officers should be revised
I wonder which training the police officer went to....what is the use of number plates on the vehicle....simply record the number plate and issue an arrest order if the doesn't heed orders to stop. Why should an officer risk his life and the life of everyone by that forceful act..
Exactly. This looks like a horrific movie
Is this even allowed? this is impunity and a shame to the service
No acceptable. Is totally wrong.
There is an unspoken but operational policy that only the academic scum and dunderheads are recruited into the force. The greatest anger arouser is a victim who attempts to introduce intelligence or logic in a discourse with these charlatans of 'watumishi kwa wote'. I think their training dehumanises them. They in turn come to dehumanise us.
@@luciakabui3151 Its true, only such will carry out orders without questioning
Form your service and recruit your own police officer
@@alexmacharia5548 if i did i'd definitely recruit a better calibre of officers who value professionalism, with sympathetic people like you we'll remain a shit hole country with few shit hole rogue officers.
This is intrusion of someone's privacy, an infringement of right of the owner and the people in it. The police are suppose to stop and inspect vehicles in case of any suspicion Not Stop and forcefully enter.
Just be glad you're in Kenya. In USA that would have gone differently
Sure. That is very narrow interpretation. Just stop and cooperate. If your car is unroadworthy, there are suspicion. Don't let the saga reach to this level
Forcefully kuingia nyuma yako ama nini Wacha kuropokwa upuzi ww
Cooperate with the police. Simple
Why step on a passenger. This is mannerless officer
I just believe this was a dangerous move by the police..I believe he wasn't armed at that time n that could jeopardize his life. I would suggest he should have requested a backup before the traffic opens up.. God give our corps wisdom on tackling disguising sensitive issues n incidents.
He forcefully went in for bribe I guess🙆♀️
If we had good lawyers in the country this won't be happening. People need to learn to respect each other. Moto bikes were taken from people trying to make ends meet and they have not been returned
According to the law, no traffic officer is allowed to enter into someone's car and so this police officer should be arrested.
100% true
👌👏👏👏
Zi then hufai kkua kichwa ngumu ..just respect back kwn .is it a big deal
Which law. The police rule book is one.
ALWAYS LOCK YOUR WONDOWS AND NEVER DROP THEM SO LOW FOR YOUR SAFETY
Kenya police that's why I dropped the career at early age juu ni ujinga unauziwa free yaaani Furiiiiiiiiii 😂😂😂😂😂😂✌️🇰🇪🖤💪
Am flabagusted.... That's what I call impunity of the highest order. I prefer the "police force/ law enforcement" to be a curriculum just like other jobs where you earn a degree through a 4 year course where by you learn the theory of the applying rule of the law/ conduct investigation/ ethics/ etiquette/ constitution and all that partaining the police. Then take a 6 to 7 month physical training, use of arms and other law enforcement artilleries. Lastly give them a better pay and supply them with resources to perform their jobs with a navex global hotline as a watch dog to curb any corruption in the force. They should be paid on hourly basis and return their arms to the armory, etc etc...
The cop had missed driving 😁
Indeed😂😂😂
According to the law no policeman/woman is allowed to enter your car without your permission unless otherwise but here in kenya it's like the laws where written just for fun!! smh 🤦♂🤦♂
Which law are you reading my friend. The law gives them that power and that's where the problem is
Imagine if it was a lost and found car, all would be congratulating the cop.
Was he sane ?
What happened to the disciplined service?
Is it legally accepted?
What did the driver do to deserve all this manner of treatment?
What's his service number?
This clip has made me miss my country Kenya. Watching from Rongai.
Watching from Busia cant wait to land in Kenya 😂
It's illegal for police to enter into someone's car. He was supposed to take the documents of the car
He should follow the rules
Movie-like maneuver, the cameras capture great stuff.
Kenya needs police from university.
Form 4 leavers will finish entrepreneurs.
I'd like to know what happened to the police man? Has this been addressed? What about the passenger?
Very cool occupants of the car, otherwise the cop would regret such stupid action the rest of his life...
I bet similar incidences of blatant impunity that go uncaptured/unrecorded are many, in the hundreds, luckily for this particular one the camera was ready and rolling, as an example to the many uncaptured this one should act as an example to the rest - the uncaught members of this kind, the severest punishment that opens the eyes of the rest properly is being fired.........if you ask me as an ordinary Kenyan suffering under such
This are the reforms we are celebrating in the police service
🙆🤣🤣

That police officer has no manners at all
Bad manners
That's very shameful behaviour and he should be fired, to set an example of things you shouldn't do
Shame!!!
"Degree holders barred from 5000 police Recruitment" the headlines read the other day.
Not every police officer is bad. But just like the bodaboda industry, there are some rotten apples in the basket.
They also need an overhaul...
OMG ...I Cannot beleive what im seeing. that police man is waaay out of order😲
Hii isn't allowed.Behaving like a goon.
This is wrong he should give you a ticket to appear in court not to enter in your private car.
This officer must be arrested and removed from duty for this illegal act. Some traffic police officers still enters inside the car, takes key forcibly though it is against the law. Kenyan police bosses should go and see how police force serve people in a civilized manner in UAE and other countries. In Kenya we find traffic police with rude, threatening behavior to extort money from innocent motorists. So shameful!
Very true, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain have very mature people in the police service
This is crazy
If you've never interacted with a policeman 👮♂️ thank God these people doesn't have a heart,, thank God and just stay very far from them
That crook should be dismissed immediately, who does he think he is to infringe on other peoples privacy
Waaa . is this a police officer..what can happen if it were wrong people... We need to review n revise kiganjo syllabus
That's being to overzealous under the pretext of duty!!
Consent is a must. These village approaches to dealing with citizens must be stopped once and for all. DCI should be dealing with these sorts of rogue officers more than anything else. What can go so wrong that one has to step on occupants of an private car in utter invasion. He could have taken the registration plate number and follow the driver to wherever necessary and catch up with him. Police should buy their own private cars and put on the seatbelts, new tyres they claim they enforce to secure private car owners.
What was wrong with the door?
Don't judge before you get to know the truth

This officer needs to be sent home.
What a shame!
What shame
Yes. True.
Makosa sana
Why do we lack discipline and manners in this force? So shameful
THIS IS HOW THERE ARE TRAINED UKIKATAA KUTOA HONGO
😂😂😂
Why not switch off the engine and go off with the key? The vehicle will be towed and then it becomes a legal case, police offices don’t like cars coz they know they are to blame for most of these shady instances.
This police officer should buy his own car, nonsense. Why can't he write the number plate down and tell the guy to go to police station.😜😜
I believe this police asked for bribe, after he was denied he decided to jump in and drive away the car himself
Why not open the door?
This is unacceptable
How about he was injured or the car was started before he got in. This is greedy of kitu kidogo! This issue and many others must be addressed,we can't do things like this, shieth💔
That is what the driver should have done..drive away with the officers legs hanging outside.
Stupid action from the officer
Afande which law are you applying, is it forcing law and order or managing the law
The moment you force yourself into my private space then you've forced me to defend myself . This is daylight car jacking
Was the driver intoxicated, unable to drive??
very very shameful to him lacking of respect.
This is illegal
Who gives this kind 🤔of orders!?
🧐
Really very shameful
This officer must be arrested
Impunity
How on earth can someone forcefully take over your car.A police officer is not even allowed to enter your car without your permission. This is car jacking and robbery with violence by a law enforcer. This motorist must seek legal advice n sue the officer for intruding in his PRIVATE car.Period
If that was me. That officer would be in the hospital for sure.
Officer is totally right
Tamaa.
We need this officer to be relieved of all duties and let go from the force as a lesson to others that may do the same in the future. This is illegal and unlawful. Kenya is a state of lawlessness.

No one knows what prompted the officer to use that mean to enter into that vehicle
When you prioritize d+ over all cs and bs
I fully acknowledge how wrong this was but I just can’t stop laughing! His entrance, though completely dramatic, led him to sit on top of another man! Did he think this through? I don’t even want to know what the driver possibly did wrong coz if it’s a minor issue (and I bet it is) I’ll be laughing all week!
Hi please. You made me choke on my food.
Its just anger, driven by greed. At this level, you will have to part with more than the normal KShs. 1,000 bribe. I have experienced such a situation, changing lanes while at a traffic circle, angered a police officer who violently yanked my front passanger door, plucked and pocketed my insurance sticker and ordered me around in my car with threats of intent to prosecute me_ all for a small offence. He wanted 2,000 for my mistake. He terrorised me. From that day I swore to myself, I will always go to court no matter what, I don't negotiate with "terrorists". Funny enough, that was the solution. Ensure you have your license with you at all times, never give a police officer your license but let him/her know that you have it and will produce it at the police station, never let them in your car no matter what, stand your ground. Deny any accusations no matter the situation (never accept liabilility_ as is writen at the back of your insuarance sticker). You have the right to remain silent, no one can force you to speak_ personally I don't speak to traffic police, I let them know that I'm only anserable to the prosecutor, and I always deny all accusations. NEVER GIVE A BRIBE, what is the worst that can happen, you are not a killer, you are not a criminal_ as long as your offence doesnt involve endegering the lives of road users, you are good. For 2 years now, I have been stopped more than 10 times, all instances I have stood my ground, never issued a bribe, and they always let me go.
This is daylight robbery no different
Is this legal? This is wrong
Is a police officer authorised to date this???
Woow... how why
They should be a crackdown on all these rogue police!
This officer entered thru a very small window opening. He is very flexible. Angekua na the usual traffic vitambis hangepenetrate hapo and he could not have risked his job. Now he is in troubles 🤔
