I play in a beer league and this guy (#1 scorer in our league) on the other team ended up with a breakaway but totally flubbed the shot trying to deke out our 69 year old goalie. So I call out from the bench, "Hey you need the Heimlich? I saw you choke pretty bad out there!"
Best I heard was a D partner I had. Our goalie takes a couple of whacks after it's blown, and he grabs the guy and says. " You do that again, and I'm gonna shake you like a fuckin baby". Almost pissed myself in the crease right there.
I once hip checked a kid into the boards really hard and the refs didn't call it (I'm in pewees). He stayed on the ice for a while and my buddy asked what happened. I said, " I just helped him into the boards"
Its amazing how many players dangle like pros but with their head down but are not even close when it comes to skating like pros and hockey sense like pros and you guys are a good example. The skills you learn make you look good in practice but have absolutely no use in actual hockey games and then you show boat like ur really good players
chirping the tendy is a bad idea, especially if you're in front of the net. a defender was in my crease trying to throw me off, must've been like 12, he was looking to get a deflect but what he got was my paddle in the back of his knee, i didn't pull a penalty, and i sure didn't see him on the ice for the next 4 or 5 shifts

After a couple of times doing that I sorta lunge at them expecting me to lift their stick again and they get spooked. Not really chirping but it has the same effect

I was good letting it end there, but he decided to go for more. After a minute or two, I said "hey, I like your 5 o'clock shadow. Do you still talk to the other guy from Wham?" Fortunately, we were all old enough to get that joke.
Please don't make fun of a ref in a real game I'm a ref and if u chirp at a ref is is a double minor and match penalty or major and match penalty or a game misconduct

And in the playoffs it's his lack of talent showing, and leadership to help Penguins win the Cup again. That's why I've been sayin' for the last 3 years the '09 championship team was a fluke. I've got nothing against the guys talent. It's the attitude and demeanor he displays on the ice that I can't stand. Hell, Malkin oughta wear the C.
