Do we have to necessarily find a supervisor for admission in PHD? or we can fill the admission form to get admission just like we do in Masters? Thank you
in uk most universities do not want you to find a supervisor first. you will submit your application first get selected and then assigned supervisory team..

I got funded PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University, I was supposed to start in Oct 2024, but my CAS couldn't be issued in time and I was told that I won't be able to get visa for Oct 2024 and will be deferred to January 2025.
Do you have any idea about how much time uni generally takes to issue CAS for January intake? would they start giving CAS out from Nov 2024 onwards?

usually unis process phd cas saperately and there is no specific time to join uni.. i dont know why they did this. you could have started a month late. contact your uni about this
