One thing I want to ask about research proposals: Do they have to be related to research project phd applicants are applying for ? Of course, research proposal should be related to the area of interest of supervisor but what about research proposals' relation to research projects? A related question is also if Phd students conducting their thesis research within research project they applied for or they are conducting a separate research for their thesis in addition to research project?

It’s quite hard to get in imperial. You can check with the university for any scholarships
University of Manchester is one of the best in the world for Physics. No idea why you went for QMUL. You will have higher chance of scholarship at UoM.

Yes. You will have to show available funds in the account for 1 month. Or you can get a Bank Educational Loan letter that says that it will take care of your 1st month accommodation. Whether you take money from the Bank or not is a different issue.
