I’ve been watching various reviews of VC269 and this is by far one of the best. All of them have been praiseworthy, and most have pointed out the shortcomings of the helmet and visor. So I appreciate the criticism when it’s justified. What sets this review apart are the very detailed comparisons of past releases. Seeing the visual differences is most helpful to get a true sense of this figure’s strengths and weaknesses. You truly are an expert in the field of Clone Troopers. Thanks for a fantastic review!

Thank you so much! I try to be fair with all my reviews, but I also typically only figs I know I’ll Like haha! At the end of the day, I like toys and so I’ll forgive some inaccuracies/issues if it still is a fun figure.

Great review! I'm loving the new mold so far (once filling in the gaps in painting), made 2 customs already and this is already the best mold by far! The helmet is actually a good size if the head underneath, the Morrison head is alittle pudgy compared to the other head-sculpts giving that helmet a wide look, without the head underneath the helmet looks great on the figure! Waiting for 3 more and can't wait! Just wish they'd release the 4-pack so I don't have to blow money getting these individually. 😭
I can't wait to get mine around the evening. I only ordered two from Pulse, and four are pre-ordered on Entertainment Earth which I do hope getting those early or by the end of this month. I'm still waiting for those 212th pack to be release. They said it'll come out in the Summer, either July or August.
Now that we have this new mold I hope hasbro makes the clones we’re missing that are already in the black series. (Kamino, 187th, 13th, and maybe if we’re lucky a shock trooper officer).
I got this figure as a gift, gonna say really surprised by everything luckly my copys visor is very good, but man 3 week after geting it and it's still on my hand, It's just that fun of a figure, I also have the anthena mold clone, and it's very surprising how much has been improved since then, I want to have at least 3 more but it's very hard to find.

Ayyyyyye thanks dude!!! 🤣 From what I can tell, it’s all new except for maaaaaybe the upper torso. All the other parts have to new due to the updated sculpt and articulation.
Yes, it shouldn’t have taken this long to get the Bad Batch in the TVC line, but even as with the Black Series once we got Hunter and Crosshair, took Hasbro approximately a year to finish with Omega, Tech and Wrecker and as an American living in the U.K. it took us almost 8-10 months longer to get Wrecker. Also, TBS has been around for 10 years and we are finally getting a TPM child Anakin in 2024. I have multiple iterations of young Anakin in 3.75. TVC, Saga Legends and more. It’s just the way Hasbro keeps us wanting. Like junkies from a plastic crack dealer. Good in depth review mate.😁
That’s a good perspective on the matter! Depending on what scale you focus on and which country you live in strongly impacts what figures/characters you can get. In a perfect world hasbro would try to balance the scales better and release the same character in TVC and TBS at the same time. At least with characters from new properties.

I hope they make a wolf pack trooper from this mold. I really feel bad for him, he is truly cursed. How many commander wolffes have they made now? (The answer is 6 by the way) and they still refuse the make a trooper to go with him. The only one we ever got was the “space trooper”.
@@RustbeltCollectoranother thing: he is so cursed they didn’t even make a 1/6 scale version. Sideshow literally just made sinker and labeled it wrong. Lego was the only major company to ever make the blue and grey versions.

I hope Hasbro remakes more of the rival team, the Battle droids, they aren't as accesible and previous mold arent as good, the only good Battle Droid is the one on the TPM Blu-ray 4 pack which I own, but it's the only way to get it, I hope Hasbro make more battle droids including commandos, super battle droids, droidekas and more
I think one of my biggest icks with the mold and actual design in the show is the shoulders. Of course this is going to happen when you use real actors and such, but the shoulders look very weak in the show and figure, at least to me. The antenna mold definitely seems more "well put together," in my eyes. A part of me really wants to get these new clone figures, but the odd helmets mixed with the kid's-cosplay-looking armor fitting turns me off of it.
I totally get that! The same thing happened with the Hot Toys Hunter in my eyes. The torso was enlarged to fit a human body, in this case Hot Toys standard doll body, and the shoulders and arms end up looking skinny by comparison. It’s a weird trade off that comes from the original models being 100% CGI. It’s great that there are unique clone molds for everyone’s preferences though! Antenna mold is still fantastic!
I'm still not sold on this figure the ugly animated realistic hybrid needs to die off and the body just looks weird I'll still buy it but I doubt it'll beat the antenna mold for me
Thankfully the body is basically fully realistic. So with a little customizing, it’s a solid upgrade. But straight out of the box, yeah, it’s far from perfect and that’s largely based on the odd design of that helmet....

I like the vc45 mold for the phase 1 clone trooper. This is perfect for the phase 2.

For some reason mine has a more sail coloring than a white color. I even compared it my other clone figures.
It's close to perfection but man that helmet is kind of a let down even without the paint print error
