I think the disrespect from the builder is what would make me weigh the money loss. They have no respect for you to meet up in person the project manager to address the damage and lack of honesty .. but large money loss is a real factor. I am sorry and hope you get it all worked out soon and get into your new home wherever you land ❤

Having build houses myself this is a very common thing, the profit they make on a house is not as big as some people think, right now I live in a fairly cheap house 188k and the builder made a profit of 27k on that house, however they should be insured for the cabinets etc, so it is shady that they didnt just replace them and are lying.

I was thinking there was other things going on that is none of our business in the first place. Yet you are very generous in letting us know these things so we can avoid them or weigh our options if things like this happen to us. You and Mark are very smart. My dad is a construction worker so I was asking him some questions. He even said that you guys were done wrong but to weigh those options because of how much money you will lose. It is a shame that they have the upper hand and can get away with dishonesty and bully you in to buying that home by not giving your money back. How rediculous! So another words you have no rights unless you want to lose your hard earned money. I would at least try to get all of the money back. I would right up a darn good letter and give it a try if it was me. I know it’s not easy. My heart hurts for you all because you had made the plan that works best for you all. I really hope some way you can get out of that contract mess and get you a beautful home that you will love. My vote is for the last house. Good luck to you all!
Yep the money is worth fighting for in this situation. In the end if you don’t get it back than you at least know you tried.

Loved all of the houses hard to choose. The three car garage you could put the boat maybe or the jet ski. That way Heather car and Ellie car can be put in the garage, love the kitchens and the laundry rooms are huge. I live in a Town House and my laundry room is a small closet right by the kitchen. I hope everything goes right with the house that they fix the cabinets and you won't be out that money, LOve to all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ God Bless!!!!

if you're looking to downsize why are these houses all like 4 bed and 3 bath?
Because they are cheaper than the one we are building. There are no more options for us unless we want to buy used homes and we don’t.

They are down sizing
They purchase homes and make upgrades as they live in them. They then sell for a profit. It is part of their business.

why doesnt Florida have basements ???
A number of reasons . A major reason is the high water table the water table in Florida is often close to the surface.
Florida is sinkhole alley, people would start in the basement and end in the crust of the earth if they did that. You only build basements in areas prone to tornados. Florida has hurricanes it would be pointless.
I know peoplee in non tornado areas that have basements. They're garages, rec rooms, mother-in-law set ups. I understand the danger aspect. SoCal has few basements due to earthquakes.@@KaylaCecelia

So the house they’re building are not living in
It's not livinable right now due to the flooding
They can’t move into an unfinished home. They closed on their house, the builders of the home they put money down on screwed them over pretty much, they hid Xs on the cabinets and the builders just moved them to the center to look like they were going to replace, however they just moved them back. The flooding from the 2 hurricanes has caused flood damage and some outdoor damage yet the builders seem like they just want to make money and not do a good job. Hence why they are looking at other homes.

Living on the streets isnt the only meaning of homeless. Do they have home now that they just sold theirs? No. So that means they are homeless. Without a home. Youre trying to make something out of nothing. Weird that youre bringing up bank accounts as well.
