Right, so if you get 10 impressions on the first day from search with over 50% CTR but the video never gets even 10 views it's the people's fault? Makes sense buddy
Hey man, I've had this music channel for a couple years now. My channels usually post hour long videos a couple times a month with shorts and clips uploaded here and there in between. We're a band, there's unfortunately not much of a niche for snall independent bands on RUclips, they end up recommending you to other small bands. RUclips music favors industry artists so unfortunately this website puts everyone else in this situation where its basically like playing one of those shows where there only people there are the other bands on the bill
I have a chrome extension called Watch Link Beta where you can recommend videos based on the current video you are on. It might help people who want to bring more viewers to their channels. I’m trying to challenge the RUclips algorithm by allowing users to act as a recommendation tool. But Im struggling with building a community.
@@BattleSimYT that’s not bad , I’ve had my channel for 7 months and only one of my vids just surpassed 614 views that’s the most views I’ve had so far :/ but I’m grateful nonetheless and will keep pushing out content. My channel is looking into true crime and dark mysteries with the tarot.
To all the other small channels. do not let the algorithm get you down, if you are passionate about what you do then keep being creative! I’m currently at 14 subscribers but I won’t be quitting! 💪🏼
its hard to be passionate when you put a lot of effort into a video and then get 4 views lol its too demoralizing to justify the effort, and kills all the fun of it.
I have an art RUclips channel as well and no one can answer any questions I have about why my videos are not getting recommended even though my art isn't bad. My current 2 videos have done so very badly that I have no motivation to make another
@@TranquilityinArt 🤩😲😲Your art is amazing!! RUclips's algorithm is really strange...sometimes it looks like it's just about luck, some people get thousands of congradulations beacause they draw a letter, other do incredible paintings without getting much views... Make another video!! My most viewed videos are the ones I expected the least, and somtimes it got very popular at a moment when I had very few views, and was starting to give up a bit...so continue making videos!
Another RUclipsr said it best. Don't think of the algorithm as an algorithm. Instead change the word with audience! With that said, what does your audience want? If you don't have an audience.. what WOULD they want? If you start to get subs and views and interactions than you're obviously on the right path to gaining a larger audience. If you release content that your audience doesn't really care about, or isn't very interesting, then you'll struggle to grow your channel. If your content delivers and the new people that watch it enjoy your content, your audience and channel will continue to grow. Seems pretty straight forward to me! 600+ new subs in the last few weeks and I've only been making content for a month!
This makes a lot of sense I have tried it. Instead of posting a video almost every 2 days, I define a day of the week, fridays in my case, and publish them weekly This also have helped me to rest, focus, think on ideas and stay motivated
How can you make something happen, you haven't even been able to make happened for yourself? You have had this channel since May 4, 2022, and you don't even have 1K Subscribers. Just a constructive criticism, Honest content, be original and consistency, is the Key.
I'm just posting highlights from twitch as shorts and your vid has given me a great way to approach how to get traction. I have to replace using the word "algorithm" with the word audience basically when I'm thinking or talking. The algorithm might work in mysterious ways but an audience is just people and people are just people! Thanks man
I just started a RUclips channel last week and it's been a fun journey so far. I've been a little nervous jumping from Tiktok to RUclips, but I'm willing to learn and I love what I do.
Biggest advice I can honestly give is just post. And stick to that niche and let RUclips algorithm do its job and it’ll eventually start recommending your videos. Also don’t do what I did and spend money for views. You’ll just mess with the algorithm and hurt yourself on the long run. You’ll confuse the algorithm and RUclips won’t know who your target audience is.
Just started a channel and obviously I know things are not gonna happen overtime. I want to say props to people who’ve made it because it’s a lot of work. Good luck to everyone who starts and if you ever wondered if you should start… go for it !
I am really trying to engage with other channels, ensure that my content and editing are of high quality, and stay consistent, but I have been stuck at 30 subscribers for a while now, and it’s a bit discouraging. It’s great to see others quickly achieving a large number of followers and views, and I hope that I will experience the same success soon.
Thanks for the video! Straight to the point. Just started my own youtube channel and your video is helpful. I hope all small channels grow and everyone be happy.
Im also a small youtuber and i just recently decided thst its time to start yt again, i hope that my vids will blow up someday and that anyone blows up in 2024. Lets not give up!! Ur doing great!
One thing that took me time to realize is most times a video won’t get the views you want for months and sometimes a year later it will just take off because the topic suddenly became hot. The main thing is to have a catalog of interesting videos once you’re discovered.
Thank you man! Your video is really helpful unlike a ton videos from different authors which just stretching their lenght of the video like for... nothing. I wish you success on RUclips, you're a really good content maker
Honestly I think the main thing is to just be passionate about what you do and keep on trying. My channels failing by every standard, but every video I push out is getting better and better.
As a creator coming from Instagram I have to say youtube feels more rewarding. My videos get more reach and I enjoy creating content more here. I also have the feeling that youtube pushes content more from smaller channels compared to other social media platforms ❤
im finding it hard to get Subscribers, i`m on other platforms & post the same stuff & have loads of followers, it puzels me why am i not getting anywhere on here ?
This may not have been what the video was about, but it is important. To have eternal life, to escape hell, do not to try to become religious or to reform yourself morally. It's like offering a bribe to God to clear you of your bad deeds, because a good work will not clear bad deeds, like in any court. If you’ve so much as lied and stolen you already stand as a liar and thief before God. The book of Romans mentions that the wages of sin is death, evident in that all are dying, but that the gift of God is everlasting life through Jesus Christ. How so? Most people know Jesus died on the cross 2,000 years ago, but many might not know that He paid for our punishment of death on that cross. We broke God’s law, Jesus paid our fine on the cross. He afterwards rose from the dead 3 days later and defeated death, and all that you have to do to have eternal life and to be saved from hell is that while you should of course turn from your sins, trust alone in what Jesus did for you on the cross rather than trying to make your own way to God. If you will turn to Jesus and trust Him rather than your own deeds, you will be saved from hell and eternal death. It's not about joining a religion or trying to earn it, but just turning to God and being given mercy because of what He did for you. Why can you go to heaven? Because Jesus paid for your sins already and will clear your case when you simply trust Him to save you. The validity of this promise is clear through the prophecies of the Bible being fulfilled throughout the years with many being fulfilled now, with one example being in the nations coming against Israel in the current day, with Israel’s sudden return to their land also being foretold. Read into the Bible for yourself even, and you will see for yourself that this is all true. Therefore decide now what you will do, as you do not know when you will die and this is about your very eternity. Hell is eternal torment and God will not postpone the day of judgement.
Como siempre no hay nuevo bajo el Sol. Ahora hay que pensar si uno quiere llenar más de "lo mismo" en RUclips o marcar la diferencia? Saludos y gracias!
0:57 is 90% of what kills 90% of small channels. If your thumbnail does not win clicks (decent ctr) or it competes but gets low watch time , the algorithm will stop promoting your Video and stops giving your thumbnail impressions. Then you have no views At All. This is why just posting and posting will bury your channel in the hole if your thumbs and content aren’t competitive in engagement. And comments don’t count. You must understand this.
This is so true, depending on your niche that is how you will grow your channel quickly I and gain viewer retention quickly and you as a youtuber always need to think what the viewer wants, what the viewer is thinking, and what do they always search. I have three channels each of them have different content first is the Anime channel, second is this the gaming channel, and lastly is the vlogging channel. My Anime channel took me 5 years to have 300+ subscribers and gain huge amount of views in my channel, while my gaming channel took me months to have 55 subs, and the vlogging 3 years to have 14 subs. If there is one thing I learned in 3 of my channels always be consistent with your post (because its going to gain viewers if you post once a year or reviving your channel), when you choose a certain niche make sure there is a community or people who are into your niche, use some of the basic YT strategies (like tags, hash tags, title naming and more) and always think about what your audience is thinking. I am passionate with these three channels, still active, and experimenting with my contents. I hope you guys find this comment helpful on your journey. Keep up with the content Kimmy I like it. It's clear, concise, and helpful for small channels youtubers.
I noticed time of day on release used to affect results to some extent, back in early 2023. I posted 30 shorts, one on each dday on a particlar month, at 8am each time, and I did get results, mostly 300 to 900 shorts views, but after that, the results dropped, so I feel like either the audience changed, or the Algorithm changed. I do think thumbnails do matter because even if you make the best edited videos ever, theres not really much point of editing a fantastic video, if people are barely clinking on your thumbnails in the first place. The highest CTR I've ever got is 12% and that was back in 2016. Never got that high ever since.

I'm inspired by all the comments! I've been running my channel for 2 years now - 7K subs with just over 1 million total views. But those views pretty much derive form one video. If only i could replicate the success of that one video!

i grew this channel from 0 to 100k in 3 weeks. i diid few channels before to and i really can say i understand it but the problem with youtube is monetizing. Most of the time youtube dont let you monetize if u not show your face and do your own content with it but when u do this u will not grow so fast. I cant get monetized with my videos on my channel too. The funny thing is cant even get my 100k silver button. because youtube here says that u also need complete original content

Ce extensii de browser sau ce setari folosesti pentru youtube?
Started my channel 3 weeks ago feel like I’m making slow progress but one of my videos already 18K
Now you have 15! Good luck Dave!
@@Be.Inspired482 thank you so much! That has made my day ☺️ I promise I won’t be quitting any time soon!
its hard to be passionate when you put a lot of effort into a video and then get 4 views lol its too demoralizing to justify the effort, and kills all the fun of it.
Hi! In which type of content/niche would you put art videos (because there's nothing specified fot art)
You Can't beat the algorithm. Just work hard and make good content. That's the secret. Every channel started small.
no ill eat u
Maybe we’re being too harsh on the algorithm. The algorithm isn’t our enemy, it’s our friend (We absolutely hate it)
I’m just having fun with my channel. If it takes off, that’s cool, if not, I’m still having fun ❤️
Great mindset. It's all about the process.
I agree just have fun. I was fighting hard and not having fun. Will definitely switch my mindset to fun mode😎
❤ that's fantastic. Best way to look at it when your starting off.
I subbed everyone in this thread . I hope we all succeed!
@AprilOvershares thank you 🙏 bless you in your youtube journey
Another RUclipsr said it best. Don't think of the algorithm as an algorithm. Instead change the word with audience!
With that said, what does your audience want? If you don't have an audience.. what WOULD they want? If you start to
get subs and views and interactions than you're obviously on the right path to gaining a larger audience. If you release
content that your audience doesn't really care about, or isn't very interesting, then you'll struggle to grow your channel.
If your content delivers and the new people that watch it enjoy your content, your audience and channel will continue
to grow. Seems pretty straight forward to me! 600+ new subs in the last few weeks and I've only been making content
for a month!
Thank you so much for 470+ subscribers ❤ . Good look small RUclipsrs ✨
Doing well mate 👍 👌 👏.
@@themarekch thank you
Keep going
no!!!
@@OfficialComblox no ? No to what
This makes a lot of sense
I have tried it. Instead of posting a video almost every 2 days, I define a day of the week, fridays in my case, and publish them weekly
This also have helped me to rest, focus, think on ideas and stay motivated
I wish you a successful time! I started a month ago. Im happy with the results so far
The way to beat the algorithm is T9 make a video teaching other people how to beat the algorithm 🇺🇸
How can you make something happen, you haven't even been able to make happened for yourself? You have had this channel since May 4, 2022, and you don't even have 1K Subscribers. Just a constructive criticism, Honest content, be original and consistency, is the Key.
Same thought
This video will help make it happen.
I'm just posting highlights from twitch as shorts and your vid has given me a great way to approach how to get traction. I have to replace using the word "algorithm" with the word audience basically when I'm thinking or talking.
The algorithm might work in mysterious ways but an audience is just people and people are just people! Thanks man
Please keep posting content on this channel, I need the advice kimmy 😭😭
Haha more coming soon
Me and you both 😂😂
I just started a RUclips channel last week and it's been a fun journey so far.
It took me 3 months, 9 videos for RUclips to start recommending my videos to my desired audiences
Nice content bro ! Keep up !
Just started a channel and obviously I know things are not gonna happen overtime. I want to say props to people who’ve made it because it’s a lot of work.
Good luck to everyone who starts and if you ever wondered if you should start… go for it !
what did you use to search the keywords

I am really trying to engage with other channels, ensure that my content and editing are of high quality, and stay consistent, but I have been stuck at 30 subscribers for a while now, and it’s a bit discouraging. It’s great to see others quickly achieving a large number of followers and views, and I hope that I will experience the same success soon.
I'm new on this RUclips journey. I pray for growth on my channel 🙏
i sub to you since i know how start feels
I've started my channel recently and I've not been getting subscribers and views but I'll keep going and God bless all the small RUclips channels 😊
Let's not give up just keep going guys.I started 2022 but so hard to get subs. But thats ok. .Good luck to us
Good luck everyone!! Don’t give up on your dream! I’m trying so hard to make mine come true on RUclips! Keep working and hustle! 🖤🤘🏻
I just started mine , two days ago , Iv gained 9 subs so far 🙌💯
Thanks for the video! Straight to the point. Just started my own youtube channel and your video is helpful. I hope all small channels grow and everyone be happy.
Im also a small youtuber and i just recently decided thst its time to start yt again, i hope that my vids will blow up someday and that anyone blows up in 2024. Lets not give up!! Ur doing great!
Good luck!!!
If you're going 100% in there is not chance you will not succeed.
@@5-minuteBreakthroughs thanks, to u too
I subbed you guys. Good luck to us all.
@@AprilOvershares thanks u too
One thing that took me time to realize is most times a video won’t get the views you want for months and sometimes a year later it will just take off because the topic suddenly became hot. The main thing is to have a catalog of interesting videos once you’re discovered.
nah kimmy just how many channels do u have
Working on 3 more beside this one, hahah
Thank you man! Your video is really helpful unlike a ton videos from different authors which just stretching their lenght of the video like for... nothing. I wish you success on RUclips, you're a really good content maker
Very good video brother. Thanks for the lesson, I pray for your sucess🙏🏼🙏🏼 fellow small youtube channel brothers.
Thanks for this useful video! I just started this channel and it is tough indeed to start in 2024. Good luck to all newtubers!!!
When i first made my channel my videos were booming, now all shorts i post have 0 views and youtube isnt showing them to anyone!
Yeah same :( also with my long form videos
Honestly I think the main thing is to just be passionate about what you do and keep on trying. My channels failing by every standard, but every video I push out is getting better and better.
I don't think people are interested in my content.
Same here 😅
146 views on your first video? That's really good.
Yes it's a struggle 😪 I'm finding it hard.
I think it hasn't reached the right viewer...it will keep creating

This guy is just never gonna be sucessful 🤦♂
No you 🤦
0:57 is 90% of what kills 90% of small channels. If your thumbnail does not win clicks (decent ctr) or it competes but gets low watch time , the algorithm will stop promoting your
Video and stops giving your thumbnail impressions. Then you have no views
At
All. This is why just posting and posting will bury your channel in the hole if your thumbs and content aren’t competitive in engagement. And comments don’t count. You must understand this.
Mi am dat seama din prima ca esti roman:)))) keep grinding man
This is so true, depending on your niche that is how you will grow your channel quickly I and gain viewer retention quickly and you as a youtuber always need to think what the viewer wants, what the viewer is thinking, and what do they always search.
Good luck to everyone and i hope you the best guys!! i started a small channel too🎉!
Good luck all the small youtubers out there....we are all in these together🤞🏻

I've just started my channel, and I'm here for the long run!💪🏻💪🏻
I started my channel as a hobby and I’m still enjoying making videos. I have learned a lot and my skills have improved likewise.
Started my RUclips Channel journey couple weeks ago about Pokémon. Already 4 subscribers. Keep moving the needle guys💪
I'm inspired by all the comments! I've been running my channel for 2 years now - 7K subs with just over 1 million total views. But those views pretty much derive form one video. If only i could replicate the success of that one video!
How can I stop you tube from uploading my videos as a short? It recently took what usually went into my channel as a reg. video & instead put it into my short category which I don't want. Help please!
Just started my gaming channel 2 months ago! It’s hard work getting subscribers but every one you get is so rewarding! (I have 25 lol)

Solid advice ! I have new channel and my niche is 3D Printing and modeling, because i like it
It’s nice to see people with legitimate advice. Patience and videos based one education or entertainment are definitely the key. I’m learning this right now. Good luck to all us very small creators.
In That Case You Need a Techno Moderator..etc. (Due Your Art Content)
i grew this channel from 0 to 100k in 3 weeks. i diid few channels before to and i really can say i understand it but the problem with youtube is monetizing. Most of the time youtube dont let you monetize if u not show your face and do your own content with it but when u do this u will not grow so fast. I cant get monetized with my videos on my channel too. The funny thing is cant even get my 100k silver button. because youtube here says that u also need complete original content
Maybe because of the unrelated tags you put on the description, youtube tends to demonetize that sometimes
Don't give up! I'm almost at 10 subs now, and I started uploading less than a week ago. To all the small channels out there, we are rooting for you!
Thank you for the tips! We hope to grow our travel channel over the next year. Wishing every small content creator the best of luck! 😊
Omg how simply and without wastage of time you explained . Just love it really
Just started a channel month ago, im posting daily and after few days with no views my videos suddenly started to get thousands views, just like that. First month almost 30k views and 100 subscribers. RUclips algorithm definetely giving a helping hand to new channels

330 and climbing gradually 240k views , it's hard work, but it is so much fun. I work with other YT channels. Growing slowly is better than being fast, so I've heard. I dont want a million subs for the wrong reasons. Good luck to every channel trying to grow in a market where there's billions doing the same thing. Good luck
Thanks!
Good luck to all other small channels watching this. Wish all your channels explode in numbers in the coming months. Keep up great work everyone 💪

Yep ypu got it. That algorithm isnt too complicated, so I wonder why people misinterpret it so vastly. Thank you for clarifying and putting it so succinctly. Gained a subscriber right there. Looking forward to whats going to become out of this
