In this reaction video, I react to Katrina Velarde's live cover of Part Of Your World from The Little Mermaid movie. This is my first time hearing Katrina Velarde perform but she definitely did not disappoint with her cover of Part Of Your World! This song is a classic and very popular so if you're going to perform it you definitely have to bring your "A" Game and that is just what Katrina did in this performance. She brought her own twist on the classic by displaying her operatic abilities and insane lung capacity, holding long notes for an incredible amount of time! It was truly a pleasure to watch her perform this live and I couldn't have asked for a better first time reaction to Katrina Velarde video! 😄🔥💯

Katrina has a goofy personality and she's such a humble person despite her talent. she giggled and asked the audience if her performances was ok. actually she sang it again at a smaller venue called Viva Cafe where she's having regular gigs that started last July 15.
She put the lyrics of the song in her palm at that night bcos she not memories it well that's how good she's is
That ending is not even long for her... She can belt and 🎯 high notes while holding her breath for more than 40 secs. She can impersonate more than 20 great and famous singers as well!

btw, aside drom being an amazing singer, one of Katrina's talents is also impersonations or voice impressions. her video of BURN: IMPERSONATING SINGERS 3 video went viral a few years ago and tons of reactors reacted to it. 😅 😅 😅

thanks for featuring katrina!! i'll always show up for a video with her. as others have mentioned, she is absolutely epic (agility, breath control, vocal dynamics, etc.)...& you'd be hard pressed to find a performance of katrina's that's not live! i'd be pretty surprised...she's the most consistent--& consistently *phenomenal* singer i can think of. i truly hope you continue to check her out...she's an absolute treasure.
PS: i'm particular to katrina's renditions of "somewhere over the rainbow" & her cover of "oyé" is also excellent. do try some of her one take cover sessions on her official channel as well, esp her cover of jessie j's "mama knows best", if that could be your cup of tea at all anyway!

Try her live “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” rendition at the MusicHall Metrowalk. It’s superb! Her MV of Disney’s “Mulan” is beautifully incredible. There’s a Spanish version of “Listen” which is “Oye” by Beyoncé, Katrina’s take is effortless as if it’s her own dialect.
