Can't believe they banned Cone Catapulting. Now how am I gonna make my enemies fear me?
I know right, it's one thing to win FTC, it's another thing to win FTC by a TKO
I mean...
Cone trebuchets, of course!
Ikrrr
yea instead of eliminating their robot why cant I eliminate them instead
I really hope the towers make the doorstopper noise when they spring up. That would make this season amazing
Yeah that would be awesome
They dont
@@foehammer2127 This is a tragedy
@@foehammer2127 NOOOOOOOOO! We just got our field, but I personally have not gotten to look at it yet. This is the worst thing that has EVER happened in FTC!
@@MrRedBuilder this season is unplayable
Extremely short Summary: put cone on springy pillar. I wish the best of luck to everyone
Also do not launch cones at opposing human players haha
Yeah lol
U 2
LETS GET THIS STARTED
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!
This season is going to be interesting
Fortnite
This season was epic! Can’t wait to see what next year brings!!
Found the actual song used for the jarring outro music and set is as my alarm. Haven't been late waking for a day so far.
What is it called
Tell na
super pumped for this season lets gooooo
why did they ban projectiles that would've been an epic tactic
Bro blocked the disabled robot he’s ableist 😔
Dave: Hey Jim have we got enough scoring methods??
Jim: mah mate lets add a few more?
*adds literally 69billion*
Dave: is that too much?
Jim: NEVER
1:53 slight change: "WILL not be perfectly vertical". Nothing is perfectly anything unless it is in CAD.
damn now what do i do with my cone-shooting robot :(
Everybody gangsta till 832 gets back in FTC
So is there any reason not to make a custom signal sleeve?
Doesn’t look like it
Yeah I guess time constraints
With tensorflow there is a base program for using there images which is mostly made for you
It is a LOT more difficult to take the 100s of images and all the programming so that your robot can see the images you choose
@@slash5477 my team just made images with similar shapes and dimensions to the base images. It works around 90% of the time
@@pxlz0729 This is not allowed, you cannot make a signal sleeve that resembles the signal cone's images. It's in the game manual, i forgot which part
Good luck from teams 9020 and 10805 in Midland Michigan!
You too!

Meanwhile in FRC: Shoot Ball, climb bar
There will definitely be water game next year Copium
Wdym
Is it just me who is terrified of the read robot with the long neck?
Excited for this season!
FTC is an international event.
yet they have a potato microphone for the annual game video
Very similar to the Vex In The Zone game so I suspect a lot of the top designs will be following a similar design to those bots given their mechanisms are very similar.
I think this game has way too many scoring methods to be a good game to spectate. I really love the "team marker" blocking additional scoring idea. Not too fond of the top cone and line control thing and the other smaller scoring methods.
The Field layout with spring poles means that we should see some interesting driving control mechanisms, strategies and defense methods coming into play.
Pumped for this season!
Good luck everyone!
They didn't render this with enough samples and denoising because a lot of the gray reflective objects seemed to have a sandy texture
i think they could have thought of something more interesting than putting comes on poles
they literally give us chess but with robots and you are complaining
The simplest scoring methods often create the best games. This is similar to the FRC game in 2005, which was my first and still one of my favorites.
@@bduddy55555 you may be right i will have to see
@@uberrix6915 i wanted it to be more innovative
@@bduddy55555 what was it?
This is my first year doing this and I’m am so excited. But I’m also nervous because I’m horrible at building things lmao I’m gonna be the one who embarrasses the team and makes them loose. Oh well ig
It’s fine it’s my first time too I hope we get to battle each other 🙂
Good luck everyone
I love the endgame!
This is basically a mix of VEX Skyrise and VEX In the Zone
Red going to te vents. That looks sus
power, i feel it
Only one cone per possession? Dam that actually kinda sucks
That last shot there with the red person and the blue person saying hi to each other, am I the only one that sees the red guy with no pants on?
My teams last year was last year 😢
Let's goooooo
thanks fairview fire
look out for team 165 and say hi to the guy in a black bag
someone: Let's make a plaiyng field where it is extremely hard to drive your big metal robot even remotely fast by placing a big springy pole or a bump on the corner of each tile, what could go wrong?
Just make a small robot
@@M4t_P4tGT that is easier said than done
@@robertmurgea556 Eh. Depends on the tools you have.
*Let's take this moment to appreciate our creator for their hard work and effort to keep us entertained and happy, it truly rocks!* 42:11
haha balls

Good luck from 3846 and 4997 in Tampa FL!
Man sad that this season had to end into just sitting still and scoring cones
One a Chinese man always a Chinese man

Alo
I’m gonna be real, these first robotics competitions are getting really boring, How can they make snooze fest competitions 2 years in a row. As a spectator, having little interaction between the teams gets very boring after 10 seconds. What’s there to be excited for? 4 robots stacking cones on poles & parking in zones. I get that it’s meant to be Educational but it gets boring to see these lame competitions 2 years in a row.
The competing alliances will have to interact if they want to complete a circuit, so at least there’s that. The duck carousel was completely broken last year though.
Do you want fucking battle bots or something? People don't watch the games because the games are entertaining. The games aren't meant to be entertaining for spectators.
@@nicolefischer1504 uh no, How do you think people get into things? By seeing how interesting they are. If you want people to be interested in ftc, You should make interesting competitions. FTC is already trying to get people into robotics, But at this rate I believe that the past 2 year competitions have made geeks lose interest in FTC competitions. As a player myself, I think this year will be very boring.
I think there is a lot more to it than that,
How do you strategically place your team marker to deny your opponent the most amount of points?
How viable would a defense bot be?
What drive trains are good?
Do you use a swivel?
Focus on just upright cones or both upright and fallen down ones?
If you want to see a Snooze Fest I think Vex In The Zone, a similar game with a much more stripped down approach to stacking cones is a snooze fest. This game has a lot more interesting variety to it in comparison that may not be as apparent when just watching the game.
@@jIguess December league meet was actually pretty nice, game isn't too bad. Still fun to watch.
