    Just got off a Southwest flight from HOU to JAN on the Max 8. Very quiet engines, especially during final descent, but that pilot must have been an ex fighter pilot. Looks like you had the Whitestone departure--always spectacular with the 360 degree altitude climb--those on the left side of the aircraft will have a gorgeous view of LGA as you make your way west. Interesting the WestJet arrival at the Delta gates, may be part of the SkyTeam alliance--noticed how the pilot turned on the fuselage lights as he crossed the runway than off and again on for takeoff. Did you overnight at LGA?

    What was happening on N2 Engine. De left N1 was on during taxiing but the second looked like in a constant half started phase, you hear the air to start the turbines and they are for a long time stationary but later during taxiing the engine finally reached enough ram to start working.

    • @dfwaviation2066
      @dfwaviation2066  Год назад +2

      It was mostly on, they may have been that they were only accelerating the left engine. And also the frame rate of the camera and light makes it seems like it was also spinning slower.

    I am really nervous. I have a flight on a 737-800 with Tui. Particularly the 737-8K5. I am confused as to if this 8k5 is the max model or the 800 model. Or are they the same plane?

    • @PhorzaSky
      @PhorzaSky Год назад +4

      It’s an -800. If it were the max, the full name would be 737 MAX 8. Also, there is nothing to be worry about. Both the -800 and MAX 8 are pretty much the same, just slight visual differences and noise. Nothing has come up for the MAX being unsafe either. It’s been doing just fine since it’s return 👍

    • @dfwaviation2066
      @dfwaviation2066  Год назад +3

      It's the B737-800, as PhorzaSky has stated, the Next Generation (NG) version. But don't be nervous, the B737 MAX is just as safe, especially after all the scrutiny it has been placed under. Enjoy your flight! 😊

    • @THENEOonYT
      @THENEOonYT 5 месяцев назад +1

      I thought this confusion might happen. It annoys me that some people call the Max a 737-8. The 737-8K5 is a variant of the 737-800 (B738) and is not a Max. The 737-8 Max (B38M) is not the same thing exactly, well it is practically the same fuselage, but with the newer CFM Leap-1B engines, where the 737-800 have CFM56-7 A 737-8 Max variant will always be called 737-8 Max or 737 Max 8. A 737-800 variant will always be 737-8## where the hashes represent 2 characters (letters or numbers), which will never be 00, but rather something like K2, K5, AS, LD, 44, BG etc. (These are just examples that I can think of for now. I flew on 737-8K2, 737-8LD, 737-8BG and 737-844 variants of the 737-800.)
      I hope this helps you and other people who read this comment to undertand the difference, because I think it was a mistake to rename the 737 Max 8/737-8 Max/ 737-8 Max 200 (Ryanair) to 737-8 or 737-8200 (Ryanair) just to make people not have fear, because instead it just creates unnecessary confusion.

    • @THENEOonYT
      @THENEOonYT 5 месяцев назад

      @dfwaviation2066 737-8 Max is just as safe as any other plane really, as crashes could happen to the safest, most well maintained planes or the worst maintained planes could fly normally. But the important thing is to not let fear stop you as there probably won't go anything wrong anyway (statistically speaking).

    • @THENEOonYT
      @THENEOonYT 5 месяцев назад

      I would like to fly on a B38M to hear how their engines sound in real life vs the 737-800 engines (I know these are louder than the Leaps, but they have an awesome sound to them, the Maxes sound quieter, but also very powerful).
