BEIJING, CHINA - Chinese President Xi Jinping delivers a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit.
BEIJING, CHINA - Chinese President Xi Jinping family photo with African leaders at the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), in Beijing. China is welcoming more than 50 leaders from across Africa as it kicks off its ninth Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing. The event aims to bolster China's influence on the continent amid increasing competition from the United States and the European Union.
African leaders are converging in China this week for an anticipated high-level meeting with President Xi Jinping as Beijing continues to befriend and expand its influence on the continent amid a silent face-off with Western countries.
The China-Africa summit, which will last from September 4 to 6, will see leaders of African countries meet and discuss policies and cooperation agreements with officials from the continent’s biggest lender and investor. Those agreements will set the tone for the two side’s burgeoning relations for the next few years.

Western countries scrambled the AFRICAN continent and colonised for centuries while CHINA is uniting them just to fight the abyss of poverty left by the colonialists. I'm puzzled. Why are 54 African Leaders always travelling to the US, UK, Russia, and China for summits? Will it not be easier for 1 leader from ( US, UK, Russia, China) to travel to Africa and meet 54 Leaders?
Can you tell me which country to go to in Africa? Can you negotiate with 54 countries? Let's try one country first
Don't only read western news , they don't want to show you that these African leader bring many business/minister man lead by Chinese minister to visit factories , new farming technology farm ...etc
When return home they will send people to China to learn to develop Africa .
When visit UK US , they just receive lecture only.

I don't think it is a problem for all 54 to attend. Each country in Africa has different needs. If Africa had one government like Russian, United States, or even China, I believe one leader would attend.

If this summit was for the African continent, why did the African Union not represent African? Why All African leaders are present instead of African union commission on the behave of Africa. This is where the problem of Unity is paramount for the continent.
Africa Agenda must prevail:
One African Policy and goals
One Army/Military
One currency
One Passport
One central bank for Economic Development throughout the continent.
One Airlines/space
One step at a time.
You have to understand that most of these leaders from Africa have different needs, which is why the AU can't represent any country.
I believe their hidden evil greed & hypocritical intentions that even led to; > betraying Late Gadaffi, others turned their today sharp brain & louder mouth in China to be damb and deaf that time These are exact ideas Gadaffi put before them! But bcoz they knew and feared they could not corrupt, misuse and embezzle funds or hypocrisy in his presence, only way was to distance from him! Imperialism of first days was through sons and daughters from outside Africa. It is sad today are truly bloods ( Sons and daughters) of the continent!
The AU is a joke for now. They didn't speak up when ukraine supported the rebels in Mali.
