I still have my purple GameBoy Advance. Still works too. And I have my Pokémon Gold, Silver, Sapphire and Ruby in a drawer at my desk in Greece. There were no better times than playing Pokémon in the afternoons as a kid.
I skipped this generation, but I still have my original (working!) Game Boy Pocket, and Pokemon Red!

Man, as much as I love Red and Blue, there was something just so MAGICAL about Gold and Silver. A huge part of it was the score! Fantastic rendition as always, @Soundole VGM Covers!
Thanks so much! I admit, this theme has really grown on me, despite this not being one of the Pokemon generations that I played. I also like the subtle additions that Gold\Silver made to existing Red\Blue tracks!
Always love me a good Pokemon cover. Really like how the higher notes sound on the EWI, some things can't be done with a keyboard!
Me too :) Yeah, that's one of the appeals of it, it's got a bigger range than pretty much everything. There's no way you could make that register sound sweet on acoustic winds!

I love how simplistic but still complex 8bit soundtracks can be. Its like Bachs 2/3 part Inventions, only 2/3 melodys but those melodies are composed beautifully :D

DAMN those high notes!
:D One of the perks of the EWI is that there's not the usual resistance on wind instruments as you go into upper registers - so that ultra high range can still sound easy to play :)

Most beautiful rendition of New Bark Town ever, you absolutely nailed the bit from 00:20 onward. Most remixes spoil it by adding too much to it.

Beautifully done! The melody sounds almost exactly as in the games, just with more details because of the manual performance. The accompaniment has just the right volume to be audible and carrying while not disturbing the melody. Very nice overall :)
Thanks so much! That's pretty much exactly what I'm shooting for. Most of the time, the originals are already wonderful compositionally, I just add a bit more musicality to phrasing, and occasionally rebalance things (especially an issue with NES tracks where the triangle wave is almost always too low in comparison to other voices, in my opinion).

Glad you liked it! It's an Akai EWI 4000s; basically a breath controlled synthesiser with fingering that most resembles a saxophone.
