Hello! I bought the Mars 400s professional kit with a second receiver and although it connects the signal it does not send video. Did it happen to someone? any solution? Thank you very much for the video!
This was great. I should be getting three of these for a music festival we're live streaming at the end of the month (3 SDI cameras through a Vmix system)
Just a quick ques is it possible to record the video in the camera's (Mirrorless bodies like Z series, Sony Alphas and Canon R etc) memory card and simultaneously make it go online through Atem Mini at several social platforms? like 2-3 youtube channels, insta, fb etc? Would be grateful to know.
Ok now talking about this transmitters. If I have every camera connected to this wireless transmitter and I pass audio through one of the cameras. That should solve my sync issue or I’m wrong? I tested using one camera on wireless and one on wired to hdmi and if I have a speaker talking or a musician playing an instrument and the audio accessing the switcher, I will see that wireless camera is not synced with audio. I record orchestras for virtual concerts and having transmitters in all the cameras could be a good solution to place cameras on stage!
Great video! I read somewhere about someone converting a Teradek signal to SDI with a DI converter and it removed all latency. Is that possible with the Hollyland? So out of say A7III convert from HDMI to SDI, route SDI into HollyLand and the Transmit? Thanks!
For this product, you’ll need a monitor that has a loop out on it. Because this wireless system isn’t a loop through system, you need another device in your chain that is. There are a good number of monitors that have HDMI/SDI out as well as “in” on them.
@@garrettsammons Noted. Saw that it did lag a little when Curtis Judd did his review with the pass-thru on Atomos Ninja V. I'll have to try it for myself tomorrow.
It says on the package that you can connect the RX through a USB-C Standard RJ45 cable and you should be able to use the stream through your PC/MAC. i have tried this with NO luck, can you help????
Wonder why they dont design it to be a regular rectangle without the cut out at the bottom which could pose a problem when mounting on top of some cameras. When u change the channel on the RX, will TX be updated too?
The channels will automatically switch on both devices when you change it on one. In terms of the design, the cold shoe mount is still technically the lowest point of the design, so I’m not sure if youll have any issues mounting it. I think it should work just fine.
I just got the 400s last weekend and now a new one comes out. Admittedly, the size of this model is a no no for me. It’s too big and the design is limited. Not to mentioned no loop out either. I’m happy with the 400s and no need to return and upgrade to pro version.
I think this makes the most sense as an upgrade for folks looking to livestream events, gaming, etc. Built-in channel scanning, 50% increase of image quality, and native live-streaming support would all be attractive features for someone looking for a wireless solution.
I bought the 300pro to try out the Hollyland System but the 12mbps feature really makes me want to pick up the 400 pro for being able to wireless tether multi cameras into an atem mini for live streams. Might have to do a comparison video of the two different bitrate outputs.

Great job on the review.

Your setting look like a sandwich commercial! Awesome 😂 For real I love it!

Since it does not have loop through, If I do this, will it affect latency?
A7SIII -> Atomos Ninja V Monitor -> Loop out to Mars 400S Pro
It will increase the latency
Nice Video, what about Audio?? Is the Audio synchronious?? What´s about the Audio Quality?? THX

This video is great man. Thanks for this. I wanted to know what to expect as I bought this without watching first.
How to fix this one, i have channel 9 to 13 and the hdmi signal of the reciever is interupting always

Happy to help!
Hi Garreth, nice video! How did you add an external monitor and the 400s pro at the same time (23:55) because you only have one HDMI out right?
For this product, you’ll need a monitor that has a loop out on it. Because this wireless system isn’t a loop through system, you need another device in your chain that is. There are a good number of monitors that have HDMI/SDI out as well as “in” on them.
Did that increase latency running the 400s after the monitor?
Not by any perceivable amount. At least not with the monitors I tried.

Have you checked to make sure your firmware is fully up to date? I know Hollyland also has tutorial videos on their channel and FB page
@@garrettsammons Yeah am on the latest firmware. I think this might be a feature that only work on PC not Mac
Oh, that’s an interesting thought. They’re active on IG. Maybe shoot them a DM and see what they say. Let me know when you get it figured out!
Hi .. What HDMI cables do you recommend for this Hollyland?

I ran out of Lavazza last week and went to work without coffee, I feel your pain
2020’s rough out here
Thanks for the review!

The 400S will definitely treat you well.
Im with you
Would you say that it's worth spending the extra money on the 400S Pro rather than the 400S? Or do the cons outweigh the pros?
The 400S is my favorite transmitter in the MARS line. It’s mostly personal preference, but it works flawlessly for what I do.
@@garrettsammons So you would say, better value than the 400S Pro?
If you don’t need the direct streaming component, yes.
@@garrettsammons Did you explain about direct streaming in this review? Can’t find it.
I mention it, but don’t tutorial it. You can connect this as a wireless bridge between the camera and computer to make streamline easier.
hey, thanks for the review but want to know about the battery that you using which powered all yor setup
That’s an Anton Bauer Dionic XT150 (v-mount) hooked in via a Camvate battery plate. It’s a great system to power an entire camera build for HOURS!
Maybe its just me but how is this a real upgrade? 4mb upgrade of clarity?
I think this makes the most sense as an upgrade for folks looking to livestream events, gaming, etc.

@@garrettsammons i gotcha, i bought the mars400 based on your review , it serves me well, we got Married yesterday
Congrats dude! The 400S is so strong 💪
thanks for the video

Bro.. that's exactly how I feel about K-Cups.. ugh.. lmao
"Everything About The Mars 400S Pro | Full Review " Not everything, not full what about the RTSP feature?
Respectfully dude…your background audio is very distracting, a tad loud
Lok at you so called reviewer is lazy to just explain features sitting at home or studio. No one is teasing range or coverage
you wasted my time watching this video, I was hoping you will explain why a cross was channel 2.
