The joy of watching someone play Subnautica for the first time is watching them figure stuff out and solve the mysteries in the game. I would trust yourself more. You are actually doing pretty good at figuring stuff out on your own rather than when following directions given by others (they are wrong a lot of the time. lol).
As you found out, one of the most dangerous places you can be right now is driving your Seamoth up near the surface. The only thing you will normally see up there are dangerous things that would like to hurt you. All the interesting stuff you want to see is near the seafloor.
However, you have earned another hint, but purposely vague (hehe). If I would like to build upgrades for a car, I might do that in the garage -- that might be true for a Seamoth also. 🤔
Yeah why they always coming at me so hard? Freaking OCEAN ain't big enough?! lol I'm going to try and figure out the cloud thing but I do want to go to the bottom of the abyss...maybe XD
Also if possible, it would be good to move your face cam to the upper right hand corner of the screen. You have it in the lower right hand corner, which hides the info about your Seamoth, so we cannot see it. 😕
Yes yes! I apologize for that I literally noticed this after 6 parts which is so fun lol I've moved my cam for next stream so hopefully that works out better XD

During daytime looking through your PDA screen. The islands are the bright white “clouds” that you see 😉
Additionally (so you’re not struggling to find the correct island you are looking for)…
When standing on your life pod looking at the Aurora, the island to the left side (bow) is the gun island and the one to the right (stern) is the one with the one with all the plants
