His last point is true. Offered a 4 star FS because I had a 4 tier pipeline on him at a 1.5 star school. 5 other schools were recruiting him, but noticed the bar didn’t move too drastically. Sent the House on the guy and I’m starting to run away after 5 weeks. Gotta pay attention to that bar
The pain of spending 65 points on a 5 star nobody wanted at the beginning of a season just to lose them completely in 3 weeks at the end of the season
I started a new dynasty after the patch and have been loving the updated recruiting. It was fun to find a wad of untouched 4 stars like in the old games but having to fish for 3 stars with upside seems way more in line with real life mid-tier teams and makes building a good team feel more special.
It was upsetting on the change right in the middle of my dynasty. Lost all my 4 star players

Receuiting tree was kinda OP to be fair, 1.5 and 2 star schools landing 4 and 5 star prospects was crazy.
I like to be realistic with South Alabama nothing over 3 stars got like 18-22 3 stars and rest 2
They just need to allow us to edit computer generated recruits attributes. I used to love making Navy a powerhouse in the old NCAA games.
Yeah once they let us do that I have a dope video idea for it
They probably never will due to image and likeness even with created generated player’s because they don’t want users making rosters full of past players. Until they figure out how to navigate around that or college players finding a way to make a players association it probably won’t happen

I’m not about to be pissed at a game because I can’t edit . They said from day one you won’t be able to edit players or create players . That’s on y’all for not knowing
@Royale5600 And you didn't comprehend my comment. I'm saying there is absolutely no excuse for us not to be able to edit, speed, agility, catching ability etc. on computer generated recruits. I get not changing faces, jersey numbers and other physical features. But if I want computer generated recruits with 99 speed or 99 hitting power, there is nothing that brings liability to EA for that simple feature.
Yeah, I noticed there were less of them, but they were still there. Still pumped out top 35 classes as CSU.

Yeah I kept getting beat out by Penn State and Oregon until I got my squad to 5 stars and had extra perks from level 50 coordinators to assist me. Now I get 12+ 5 star recruits per year

I was freshly off a natty with coastal Carolina and didn’t have a single recruit weather it was 2-5 stars that had me as their number one interest it’s crazy.
Same for me. I’m also running with coastal and it took me 8+ seasons to have recruits even interested
That's weird. I took a job at App State (so same league, similar geography) and got blown out in the playoffs in my first year but had about 10 4 stars put me in their top 8 including some who had App #1. I have recruiting perks but none of them seem to be about initial interest.
@@sarsmask I went to my first playoffs the year before I went to the natty and got blown out as well. I am in the playoffs again and I ended up getting 4 5 stars this year. I think not a lot are interested to start out with for some reason but if I offer before other schools it makes them interested.
Pre-patch I had top recruiting class three times as a 1 star school.
Post-patch, I can't make the top 25 lol
Yeah i was able to snag the #23 class post patch but it took years off my life
Well, that's more accurate to life. I love scouting though and finding 3 stars who are gems. And loading up my 1 star school with them. Then getting a star or two over the next couple seasons and setting sights higher.
Only problem with 3 star prospects is their chance to be a Gem is greatly reduced from 4 star ones. Even 2 star prospects have a slightly higher chance for being a Gem with a great dev trait than most 3 stars will. But that's just a part of the gamble now.
I’m finding tons of 3 star gems late in the recruiting cycle. After I’ve signed my 5s and 4s I put my hours into finding 3 star gems. It might be my favorite star rating to recruit
I've had a lot fun sticking to recommended only, earning the 4 and 5 stars interest though program success. I've also shifted to specific archetypes per position instead of best available.
Getting hyped when I land a 3 star powerback to be my FB in my triple option 😂
I do think there’s something to be said about recruiting for scheme instead of talent - a 3 star with the right skillset could def be more helpful than the best 4 star you can find
@@maxplayscfb Precisely. A 4 star pocket passer is of no use for me at Navy. I've been trying Realistic Rebuilds, sticking to Recommended and earning every recruit I get. It's honesty fun being a motivator and seeing these guys develop into players your fans will come to recognize.
I do enjoy spamming recruiter from time to time but the luster wears off eventually.
This video is a couple weeks old now, and I find that higher star schools are more aggressive than they were before once a recruit got down to their final 3 or 5 schools. As Cincinnati, I’ll have recruits of just about any star level be super interested in me, and the second Georgia or Ohio State gives a shit about them, now matter my lead up to that point, it can swing in their favor in a week or two. It even happens with schools like Iowa or Wisconsin, who I have a similar star level to as a school. It’s very frustrating
So they fixed a loophole and made it more realistic. This is not a bad thing.

I used that strategy but I'm glad they made the change and honestly a ton of people said there should have never been that number of unrecruited top prospects for so long. It should be tightly contested and I like that

I didn't know this was in the patch when i started my 3rd season at ECU. I was like "What the hell?!?!" Lol
Also look out for the teams who run out of room like ohio st be the only one at the top then they scholarships box just goes empty
3 star gem is more valuable in the long run than 4 star non-gem.
Awesome video dude. I hope you or someone comes up with a strategy for Hawaii. There’s a glitch in Dynasty where for some reason their proximity from home is F for all recruits even if they are from Hawaii.

@@maxplayscfb yeah it’s frustrating when you try to recruit a 4 star from Honolulu, and their dealbreaker is proximity from home. I’m like “LOOK OUTSIDE YOUR WINDOW THE STADIUMS RIGHT THERE!”

I found that there were some 4stars that show up in my recommendations and not in the 4star list.. and noticed later in the season the number of 4stars that did not have offers increased.
I believe that # goes up because schools will send offers and then they will get dealbreakered out of the offer. for example, if the dealbreaker for the player is playing style and then that goes down, then the recruit can go from one to zero offers

Good video, the only thing that I dont agree with and contradicts with my own experience after the patch, is that you say that you are way too far ahead to justify anyone jumping in for the player at Timestamp 5:26. This is not the case. Bigger programs can and will jump in hard, even while you are far ahead. The only way to ensure that they dont is to lock them out by pushing hard and leaving only open the top 3. By doing that you reduce the chance from 700 to 400 to 200% of someone else jumping in. That means several more things have to occur, the other 2 teams in their top 3 have to get done with other prospects AND identify that they are are still in on your prospect AND actually start. But I saw it yesterday when I was playing and a team like OU or Bama can come hard and you will still lose.
Agree - I underestimated how willing big schools were to jump in late. It actually played a big role in the most recent recruiting video I just put out!

@@maxplayscfb haha ironic. My first rebuild is ball state because I’m from indiana. Took me 6 years to win a national championship. I don’t play any of the games I do cpu vs cpu and just let it play out. Makes it more realistic simulation style team building etc. in my opinion. So far having a ton of fun with dynasty and recruiting but they really need to make like a school history tab or something so you can go back and look at past games scores and stats from prior years in your dynasty. If you have players that didn’t break records or anything they can be easily forgotten I just like to be able to look back in game at some of my personal school history and there’s not really many options for that right now so hopefully that’s something they can implement in the future.
So they made sure to address THIS in the patch, yet I still have to run 4-3 Cover 2 for punt return... Thanks for the priorities

Hot tip: use different colors for different data sets on graphs.
Technically the two blue lines were both from the same distinction. I don’t care about “pre update season 1 vs. pre update season 2”, i care about “pre update” vs. “post update”
In other words my two data sources are “pre update” and “post update”
So while I appreciate the opinion it was very much intentional - and technically is doing exactly what you’re saying

It's actually due to 2 sentences. The nerf to the amount of prospects and also the increase in the number of players the AI will pursue. This has lead to a shard decline in talent that you dont have to fight for.

@@maxplayscfb it’s just more about focusing on your recruits getting them scheduled as soon as possible if they are 5 star recruits get them in as soon as possible it’s easier now since most teams are not aggressive from I’ve seen until week 7 and it’s too late then

Pay attention to your position arrows.
I targeted a 5 star QB at Navy once. I joined the race late but I offered and dumped 50+ hours every single week without fail.
Green up arrow week after week = Keep sending max hours.
No arrow (In second place) = For me, this usually means I'm slowly gaining ground. I've stayed in these battles, max hours, and pulling off hours from lower guys to schedule his visit. Lol.
Red arrow = If you're sending 65+ hours and you lose first place, remove this recruit. If you have no arrow one week then red the next, time to dip.
The CPU more often that not rides it out to the bitter end but a smart user can pivot those hours to a different recruit.
Also, I have great success sorting by national rank, sending 50-80 hours on a few prospects at a time (offering everyone to accrue weekly interest) and try to speed run them to get those hours back.
The 20hours per recruit is way to spread out and only works in theory. User HAVE TO be aggressive in this game.
In my dynasty it has Navy playing Air Force on the road every season. Are you seeing that? And the F-18s with the wings on backwards drives me crazy, not to mention the Mids with beards and man buns. 😂 Oh, and the atrocious simulation of Trop Whites. Ugh. Beat Army.

You have the right idea with the graph but a fail execution…. Using a graph and having both variables be the same color and pattern is beyond different. Old1 vs old2 but they are the exact same pattern and color. How the hell are people suppose to know which is which without making an assumption? 😂🤣🤣🤣
No offense man but that was the entire point - there are two lines from “before the patch” and one line from “after the patch”
The goal wasn’t to look and be like “wow this one old season is way different from the other old season”
The goal was to show two super similar blue lines and a very different red line so I could say “hey look, red line different!” - but to each their own
@@maxplayscfb I respect it, I’ve just never seen it done that way. Anytime a graph has crossing lines they usually have different colors to indicate path. The “after patch” is fine , it’s red. The “before patch” having two variables both being blue is the problem I’m speaking on. It’s not to wow people, it’s about knowing how to use a graph 🤷🏾♂️

If you're not going to recruit then there's no point of playing Dynasty mode. Just play Ultimate Team.
