  • How to replace the battery on your TimerCap. In some cases it may be easier and cheaper to buy new ones every year or so. But if you like to do things yourself, well here you are.

super helpful! I was trying to go in from the bottom on my budcap timer, didn't think to try to remove a sticker. I was able to remove the sticker, push the clear back off through a tiny gap between the timer and the cap, and then push the timer out from the back. It was dang near impossible to remove the battery due to the way mine is made and I was afraid of breaking it, but I thought "heck, its useless to me now since the battery is dead anyway" and kept trying until I got it out. Big thank you!

A typical example of a company attempting to practise planned obseleteness. If they think I'm going to buy a new one every 6-12 months, they can think again. Thanks for making this video!

Thank you! Several good tips in here. Mine just says timercap on the lid not cvs but it’s the same on the inside.

Good job, I have doing it for years, and mine said you can not change the battery. Buggers.

Careful - the version I received in 2021 directly from timercap.com actually opens from the bottom after you remove the liner beneath the cap.

Was it the child resistant cap or the easy-open cap? My easy-open cap is accessible through the bottom, but is looks like I still need to pop a bit out to replace the battery.
