I have an SL-PG200A that has not beenused for 19 years, plugged it in today and it wouldnt read the disk. I've found other videos that given clues as to how it might be sorted. However, your video showing it playing an home-burned disk is especially useful, since mine NEVER has worked with anything other than commercially produced CDs - I always assumed that the software in it simply pre-dated the requirements for computer-burned CDs. So youve given me hope that the laser alignment has always been slightly off - I'll see how I get on bringing mine back to life. There could even be a video from it!
