I love your breamaking and your home. I am 80 something and have so many hobbies, knitting, crocheting, baking bread, knitting machine, quilting, machine embroidery, longarming quilts, and my newest is cricut. You keep me going and I love your designs. Thanks for all you do and God bless.

My hobbies are crafting, sewing, crocheting, and stamp collecting. I have a pretty stressful job working in a call center. I have found that repeated motions of crochet helps to calm me after a stressful day at work.

What a wonderful inspiring message ❤️ Loved seeing you put that amazing Hoosier cabinet to use! The kitchen is so beautiful and homey looking. I could've sworn I could smell the bread when it came out of the oven.
Of course, Greg would implement a drill to make the butter churning a smarter not harder process 😂
You look so relaxed and peaceful in your country style dress & slippers! It's a great look for you 😊

Hello from Australia. Your video brought tears to my eyes as it hit home about having time in doing a hobby that's not just for work. Your voice was so smoothing and not rushed which added to the experience. I will definitely be adopting your bread recipe as it looks more rewarding than putting ingredients into the bread machine. OMG the butter, now that took me back to the farm when I was a child. I remember milking the cows the old fashioned way than boiling up the milk. Skimming off that yummy cream and than turning that into butter. They WERE the days. If you were to ask a child from the city where butter comes from, I do believe most would say from a supermarket! I am looking forward in watching your future videos. Thank you Jennifer x

That was so sweet! I’ve been thinking about making bread here lately too, lol. Even the butter sounds fun and easy. Thanks Jennifer for reminding us to find a happy place in our hearts. Me time.❤ I get so caught up in my job as a mom, wife, work, and want to be crafter more that I forget to think of rewinding myself for myself.

Thank you so much for this awesome video, Jennifer! The Hoosier cabinet is fabulous, wishing I had room for one :) Maybe just the flour insert and bread drawer??!! My husband is the baker in our home, his loaves look a lot like yours! I’ll share your recipe with him. Have you shared your chili recipe yet ?!?!?!! Oh, and I think I’ll get him a butter churn like yours for his birthday - thanks for the inspiration! I sew, knit, paper craft, and make jewelry. I love sharing what I’ve learned along the way with my grandchildren! ❤

Hi Jennifer. Absolutely enjoyed watching you make bread. I like the fact it is no knead as I don't have a breadmaker and the mixer I have seems to have gone on strike! lol! I have made traditional white bread and also a "no knead" recipe but both turned out terrible. One did not rise and was hard as a rock. The other one just did not rise either. Truth be told, it was probably the type of yeast I used as I had both the traditional yeast and also one that was instant yeast. So seeing your video I am going to try my hand at baking bread and hopefully it will turn out well this time. I will keep you posted on the results. Thanks for sharing! 😁❤👍👍

By the way, your kitchen is beautiful! And, I live how you've restored someone else's first love. I'm retired now and crafting is my love. I love trying to make new things. But, my love is card making. I haven't sold any of my card, I've sent most of the to Cards for Soldiers. I have given a few to friends to use and I have sent a few of them to friends. I agree that I find myself going overboard following so many crafters and their summits. I always drift back to you because I love your calm, laidback style of teaching. Thank you for sharing your personal thoughts with us. Love you!!

That Hoosier cabinet is awesome! I have never seen one with pull out trays. I really liked that you used it as it was suppose to be used. I really wish my entire kitchen was set up with Hoosier cabinets because they are so functional. My hobby is scrapbooking. I have my craft room set up the way I want it at this time. If the function of my room changes, then I will change it. It took me many years of scrapbooking to know how I wanted my craft room. It is my happy place. Thanks for sharing your beautiful space.

I am 73 and have been card making and other crafts along with you for a few years. I love it and my family loves that I share my stash and make shadow boxes for my grandchildren but they somehow keep adding things to my list and sometimes I feel like it’s a job! I never sewed but always wanted to learn so I have been teaching myself how to do things just for me! The quilt tops I made were so much fun along with my table accessories I make for fun for myself! It’s an escape I never tried before so even at 73 I found a new hobby!

My husband and I love the hobby of going to Estate sales, which is where I find lots of things for my crafting (mostly "canvas' for decoupaging). We also enjoy Fishing and the beach. I do a large assortment of crafting, Cricut, paper, decoupage on almost everything, painting, home decor, sewing . . . I'll try almost any type of craft. Then there is gardening, which it Texas is like 9 to 10 months of the year.

Thank you for sharing this Jennifer. You are totally correct. When I first started Cricuting 2+ years ago, my husband would also comment about how I had a glow showing him what I had "learned", not necessarily what I had "made". In my journey, I have now sold many items, most by special order once a friend or family member saw what I had made. You are correct. That added an additional bit of stress level because then, my brain wasn't focused on what I had "learned" anymore and maybe even perfected, but now it was saying "this one has to be perfect, since it's an order". I'm one that regularly says "No craft is perfect because we are not calibrated machines" and "I consider my mistakes learning curves". Both are still true 100% and I just have to keep reminding myself that I started with my Cricut to "enjoy" crafting things. You mentioned the hoosier cabinet resembling a dream box.....I laughed when you did because I had already thought, oh look, a kitchen tool/supply dream box! Thank you as always to you, Greg and the rest of your team for all you do for us. I have learned SO much from you and I am grateful that you were one of the tutors that taught me what I now know. May your new Maker Farm be everything you hoped for and more and I look forward to your upcoming journey with all of us.

I've truly enjoyed watching the progress of your new building, seeing the sunflower fields you've planted and now even your own hobbies. I love baking too and it wasn't until I watched this video that I realized I haven't done that in awhile. It has rekindled that love and I'm going back in the kitchen. I agree with you that the kitchen is the heart of the home and the most important room. Please keep sharing such wonderful glimpses. Thank you for sharing your video. It is very encouraging and touches a very personal side of you that is always a joy to see. It inspires me to reflect on making time for a bit of time on me, in a non-selfish way of course.( I am sure everyone out there feels this way.) You have encouraged me to take that time for me once in a while, and pick up my hobby of baking. The bread recipe will be a great place to start. Your Hoosier is beautiful. I have been revisiting the thought of getting one for myself, and I can so relate to Greg and his method of "helping" he is just like my husband. I am happy for you about this new part of your journey and for sharing it with us. May it be filled with many blessings. I thank God for you both and for the gifts He is gives us through the both of you.

Jennifer - your bread looks amazing and your new kitchen looks beautiful - a place to create and cook and rediscover your love of cooking and baking. I love my hobbies - card making, stamping, using my cricut and my stamping to create new designs; recently, I've discovered the art of rug hooking which is an old craft that was very popular where I grew up but has become a craft that is dying out. Thank you for the video! I so love seeing your new studio. I use to love acrylic painting. When I became a moderator for a fb group and a YT mod, I got burnt out. I've not painted really anything in probably 2+ years. On 12-10-2024, my first painting teacher, YT's Cinnamon Cooney, The Art Sherpa, suddenly passed away at age 54. Heartbroken and full of tears, I promised her and myself to honor her memory and paint again. I'm having to start over because my learned skills just aren't there. So, this is my hobby. I look at my sublimation printer, Maker 3 and all the other crafty things and to just air space I'll say "I'll be back again". I run the sub printer at least once per week to keep the ink flowing. I am remaining an Advance member because I still continue to learn from you. Thank you for the bread recipe too!

    You look amazing, Jennifer!
What a beautiful cabinet! I've been baking my own bread for awhile. Not only is it healthier and cheaper but the satisfaction I have making it is indescribable. My mom loved to bake. Since she died 1½ years ago, I feel a connection to her when I pull out one of her handwritten recipe cards and attempt to make it just like her. It never comes out quite the same. Something is usually missing; probably her presence with all that love mixed with patience is missing. I miss her so much but baking some of her favorite recipes keeps her close to me. Thank you for sharing this video. It certainly brought back fond memories of spending so many days in the kitchen cooking and baking with my beautiful mother. ❤🥖🍞

You are always so busy and yet you recorded your other hobby to share with us. I’m sorry your total life is on blast. I hope you find some time off camera for you and Greg. However, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your help. I have been a cricut owner now For the better part of 20 years. I owned the first one with the cartridges. once I switched to the air two, I found you. I have purchased two more since and I am still with you. You are truly the best teacher I have ever found. Oh, you are so sweet, Lori! But not to worry -- 99% of my life is not shared. Not because I don't want to, but because I quite literally don't have the capacity to do it. I would actually share more if I could. I was just telling Greg this morning that the thing that brings me the most joy these days is positively influencing others. So if sharing what I know does that, then I want to do that. But, still, all is well -- Greg and I have plenty of off camera time. And I am happy I help you!!

I love your video. I have been waiting for an updated one. Sorry to hear you were under the weather, and that you are on the mend. I do have a few hobbies. I have always crafted, making things for the home, scrapbooking, making cards, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint just to name a few. lol. I took up sewing when I retired from my job. Then Cricut came into my life. Need I say more. Thank you for your uplifting encouragement.

Jennifer, my crafting is my hobby. I have made pipe lamps. This year for Christmas, at the request of my granddaughter and her husband, I made a lamp out of a trumpet! Two years ago, I got a Cricut and last year I got a sublimation printer. Several people have said I should open a shop and make things, but I have stuck firmly to the fact that I retired in 2019 and opening a shop, sounds like a job. Thank you for all your inspiration and training. I love crafting at my own speed. It makes me so happy to make others happy!

I love making cards. It's very fulfilling when people get your handmade card and you see their faces light up! My husband also just bought me the Epson SureColor F570 for Christmas and I'm going to start sublimating soon. Which is why I think your other channel is so invaluable!
I am loving this channel. I absolutely LOVE the Jennifer Maker Channel, of course, but this is just so wholesome and relaxing. Please keep doing these. I especially love it when you show your family. I just want to be there with you drinking a nice hot cup of tea and chatting with you. That's what makes you so different from other channels. You really put your heart out there and it shows.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful new home. I can't wait to see the reveal of your new workshop. I'm sure it will be spectacular. Hope you're feeling better.🥰🥰

I LOVE your Hoosier cabinet. I've had several over the years, looking for the perfect one - yours looks like it would be perfect! I'm also a bread baker - I love homemade sourdough.

That Hooser cabinet is STUNNING! I love old furniture. There's nothing like it. It looks perfect in your beautiful kitchen. Your farmhouse is like a postcard. And the view from outside with the snow is fabulous. I'm so happy for you and Greg to be able to live your dream. You've worked so hard for it.
Turtle and tortoise used to be a hobby. It has turned into a rescue non-profit. Now, crafting is my hobby.

Hi, this was amazing! I'm going to try your bread recipe. I've made banana bread before, but not regular bread.
Paper crafting is my hobby as well as making things w/my Cricut. I make cards, and when trying a new technique It doesn't always work, but I figure out what went wrong and try again. Sometimes it takes a few times. I've also tried making candles, not my thing. lol Please keep up the great work! You're the best! ❤

I love baking or I should say I used to bake all the time. Bread, just like you but cakes were my specialty and then I became a cake decorator. I seem to not stick with something for very long for some reason. It's like I tire of it. I used to make cards years ago and scrapbook when my children were little, they are now grown and families of their own. I am back to making cards and sort of scrapbooking, I make it then digitalize it for my kids. I'm sure they won't carry around all that paper... And I have just went to the store to gather ingredients to bake again. All good things come around again. I love your home and your new channel too. ☮❤🚙

I thought I would start a business (when I retire soon) doing paper creations from shadow boxes to crepe flower arrangements. Then I got really ill(permanent altitude sickness) and had to move from Colorado back to what we consider our home town of Topeka KS. We moved into a very small house (didn't buy for the house but for the land and location). No real craft space. Now 6 surgeries on both hands and my left arm later... I am rethinking the business. We are converting the attached two-car garage into my craftroom. Since gardening is one of my spring/summer outside hobbies, I don't think I would have time to do a business. I want to retire and garden, start making my breads and sausages again, make candles, crochet, quilt, color, and all the other crafty things I do without adding the stress of selling. I may sell some things on the side but not full time. I took two full weeks of vacation this past Christmas and found doing whatever I wanted to do when I got up really lowered my anxiety and stress levels. I was happy! Now to get through winter so I can feel the sun on my face outside. Can't wait.

Jennifer, at first I was afraid you were going to say that you weren’t going to be teaching us anymore and my heart was dropping. Where would I be without you to teach me all these wonderful crafts? And, I just started sublimating and really depend on you for helping me with the whole process.
Then while continuing to watch your video, peace came over me. She’s not leaving us, she’s doing her own wonderful hobby making delicious bread in her beautiful new kitchen on a beautiful snowy day. Loved this so much!
Thank you Jennifer for everything you do for your fellow crafters. We love you!

Now I'm sad. I had one very much like that. It had a sliding tambor style horizontally closing door to close off the flour and sugar bins.
After my husband died, nearly all of my income disapeared, the house needed much more than I could afford.
I chose to sell the house, buy a used mororhomwvand do the traveling we never got to do together. So I sold the cabinet. Also the meat grinder that was attached to the side of the enameled counter top.
But I can make the bread, even in the motorhome with its quirky oven. Thank you for the bread making video! An "emergency shelf" raid should produce a snowy day soup to go with that bread. (Even though I am camping in the Southwest corner of Arizona with not much chance of seeing any snow except on top of the distant mountains.😊

I love seeing you use your Hoosier Cabinet. My grandmother who lived in Maine also had a Hoosier cabinet which graced her kitchen for as long as I can remember. After my Grandfather passed away I, at 7years old, spent the following summer with her and loved watching her make my favorite rolled out molasses cookies on the pull out worktop. Years later she had her kitchen updated and wanted a microwave. I paid her the amount for a new microwave and she gave me her Hoosier cabinet with the sticker from Sears & Roebuck still on the back. I love it and it has followed me to five different homes in as many states. I treasure the Hoosier cabinet as well as the many memories. Thanks for bringing them to the surface once again.

I've been a quilter for almost 40 yrs and in 2011 started a qlt business. I was swamped. Along with health issues, I had to quit. Going on 5 years and just getting back to some piecing and quilting. Crafts with my Cricut became my hobby. I started grinding my wheat about 25 yrs ago. We enjoy antiques and I enjoyed seeing your beautiful hoosier cabinet. What a treasure! Beautiful kitchen! ❤

I am so jealous, but so happy for you too!! I have wanted one of those hoosier cabinets since I was a little girl and drool over them every time I see one in an antique store. The one you got is VERY similar to one I have been eyeballing recently in a store in St. Regis, MT. Also - you have the range that I do! I love my middle griddle and edge to edge fit. I hope to have the opportunity to visit Maker Farm some day

I love this! Crafting and baking are actually my hobbies. I am a nurse by trade. I started making sugar cookies before I began crafting and I loved it. But people actually wanted to purchase cookies from me and after a while it became more of a chore. I stopped baking sugar cookies for almost a year! That is when I began crafting. Now I bake sugar cookies again, but only for fun and for special occasions.
