Blossom End Rot on your tomatoes? Try this!

Another way to use up extra eggs and a free way to combat Blossom End Rot? Sign me up! Just bury a crushed whole egg at the base of your tomatoe plants, and it helps to prevent/combat Blossom End Rot.
Blossom End Rot is commonly known to be caused by a calcium deficiency, so doing this helps give the plant enough calcium to prevent this problem. I'm hoping doing it after the fact will help to correct this after it starts happening (since i forgot to bring the eggs out on tomatoe transplant day.)
