Hey Everyone! It is always nice to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Orlando, and appreciate some natural Florida beauty! Have you been to a Florida Spring? Which one is your favorite?
Awww... thank you so much!! I have to admit, I was in love with the water transition shot too! lol... It was one I had to make sure got into the video! I'm so happy that you enjoyed it!
@@ChrissaTravels Love, love love the Springs and your videos! I'm writing an educational fiction book for teens and pre-teens about a Magical Spring and a mermaid. My grandparents lived in New Port Richie and when I was about 5-years-old we went to Weeki Wachee and the show there made an indelible mark in my heart. I'm hoping to chat with you sometime.
This summer I plan to get there. I been in Gainesville over 2 years now. Summer planning is hard with all the rain. Last year I went to the Botanic garden and we did have to duck some showers here and there but it gave us the sense as if we were in a tropical rain forest. Most summer rains here are short too. I'd find it best to go during the hottest (and rainy) months since that water is very cool and refreshing and if we get rain just think about tropical rain forests.
Would you recommend this one for a beginner who also cannot swim? I would obviously wear a life jacket and have a very stable sit on kayak. Thanks in advance. I was looking at either this one or Juniper Springs
Hey there! The river doesn't have a really rough current, so I think it would be pretty easy for a beginner. The biggest challenge is getting in and out of the kayak from the launch area...especially if there are a lot of people swimming in the main spring. You'll be dodging swimmers as you get out of the spring. But, once you're out of the main spring area, it's smooth sailing.
@@jay312productions3 you’re going to LOVE it! It’s so peaceful out on the water, and so many beautiful springs to enjoy! You’ll have to check out Rock Springs Run too with the beautiful emerald cut! You can launch from Kings Landing.
Hi, my friend invited me on a roundtrip around South Florida in February. He wants to go to Warm Mineral Springs the one outside of Fort Myers. I think we should swap Mineral springs for Ginnie. I've seen photos of the first one and it doesn't look as appealing as Ginnie. What do you think ?
Hi Yorkie lover's! You can always safely assume that there are gators in any fresh water here in Florida. However, they tend to stay out of the springs because they prefer to safety of murky water. So, you may see a small one in the clear water of a spring, but they usually stay far away from a crowd of people.
Genny Springs has got to be my favorite A lot of college kids go there from Gainesville Alcohol is permitted Kind of pricey to camp You're charging camp and Ann swimming
You went on a wonderful day. I have never seen it that empty except years ago. We just went there recently and it is definitely no longer kid friendly. It attracts boozers and potheads so if you love seeing beer cans everywhere and smelling pot smoke and having the management turn a blind eye to criminal and wreckless behavior.

Can you swim in the springs that have the caves? I've been told it's "diving only." Can u walk to each spring or do you have to kayak?
Wow, totally amazing. Any alligators or snakes?
Are alligators in the water? I’m new to Florida

Are there snapping turtles or alligators?

After a memorial day rave, 20,000 drunk, drugged people, there were 2 shootings and one person dead. Never go on the weekends.
Why is it pricey?
gators?
We didn’t see any gators while we were there, but you can always safely assume that there are gators in any body of water in Florida.
Yes I saw a gator
They closed off the areas the gators were where I went.
Lazaro, I was going until I saw your comment 😭
Too Pricey for a family
I know your address
Alright weirdo.
Too many cocodriles

Are there alligators?
yesh, but they shy away from springs where water comes up.
I hope there aren’t any gators

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! ☺️
