I really like the actress that plays the lead bully prisoner. It's sad she got stuck in this lower tier for so long because it's really affected her potential in the craft. 😢 The first ten minutes fooled me; however, this is just another hidden identity trope where every scene is dependent on no one knowing or believing she is who she is so they can commence on verbally and/or physically abusing her.
Not a huge bunch of martial arts action, but enough to be satisfying. For me the real pleasure was in watching one group come in as the biggest most influential family only to be followed by another most important most influential family who were themselves topped by yet another higher, more important family ... and so on and so on. I got to the point where I was betting with myself on how many bigger than people would show up by the end. It was great! This is worth watching if you can get past the true trauma of the beginning (and again a little bit later into it but nothing like the beginning).

That was weird. She's powerful and meets the ML by chance, and after recognition of being powerful. The ML asked the FL for marriage. I am like, WTFH? There's no romance/chemistry whatsoever between them, and he propose? Ok...on to the next!
I love how the ML played his part well, maintaining his belief in freedom of choice without wavering when pressure is coming at him from all sides. FL, ACE. Did not abuse her power, until when necessary. All this time I've watched Chinese dramas I've always wondered whether there is a custom like this for real in the old China and whether it is still happening in some modern Chinese family. Not pointing fingers. Sometimes, culture can be learnt from these stories. Sorry, if I've offended the writers, but sometimes things portrayed in these dramas makes you think. 🤪🤪😪😪🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😆😆😆😊😛😊
