I had several of these in the 1990s. What's cool about Panasonic HIFI vcrs back then was they had the 4 hour recording speed, which also make them great for 4 hour speed playback for dvd/computer archiving.

4:24 Do you know what kind of VCR you're reviewing here?! It's one of those things that likes to fast-forward/rewind slowly for a few moments, before flipping the mechanism and doing it at a faster speed! You have to be patient and let the tape mechanism get up to the speed! Don't even worry about wasting the time of the video!
