Heihachi takes back the Zaibatsu after losing to Jinpachi in T5 and Jin in T6
Heihachi did not participated in T5 in the canon. Is explained when you choose him to fight in T6 story mode.. He recovered after the T5 tournament returned to his mansion and was attacked by the Tekken Force that were already working for Jin.
In T6 watching Lars story you can see that Heihachi did not participated neither in this one.

all previous mishima doesnt have a devil gene. jinpachi's case was another thing of it's own. it all started with kazumi kazuya and jin.

I love that they subvert expectations that Heihachi is the pinnacle of evil in the series by demonstrating the kinds of powers he's up against throughout. Turns out he's fairly neutral and merely wants someone to test his mettle or put him in his place - sadly, things go far worse than that for him.
