I have read Yogananda through my mom, she got me into yoga from a young age, I love his storytelling as well as the story itself. Have you ever picked up queer vibes from him? Always thought he looked quite feminine. Another book that I think you might like is Tao Te Ching, by Lao-Tsu. It is comprised of 81 short poems and if remember well it is the founding text of Taoism, although it could be seen more as philosophical text than a religious one. It is at the same time very direct and very abstract

Interesting! I find Indian guru-oriented spirituality frequently quite queer. I think in this book there is a guru who has a favourite disciple and they sleep in the same bed.I find the narrator extremely sweet and lovable.
I've never read the Tao te Ching, although I had a phase when I was more into texts like that. Maybe I'll try one day. Thanks for the recommendation!

I suspected that this video could be great, so I made sure to run a nice warm bath for myself. Soaking and sipping slowly my chamomile tea, I listened carefully to your gentle voice and took mental notes of your book recommendations. 💜

Thank you. What an interesting list and so tantalisingly reviewed. I'll have to try to track down an unedited copy of Yogananda P.
