I would imagine this value is anything that scales with level. Things like barrier scale with the item level that it drops on, or the item level you imprinted on out of your codex. So for barbarians this would be most useful for aspects that give fortify, or thorns during berserking etc.
The aspects have item power. looks like it has thresholds like general items. So it stands to reason if you are close to a threshold, it can reroll and boost.
This seems backwards. Why upgrade before hand vs just upgrading after? All you are doing is just boosting it first than being able to boost it later (it seems it is still going to boost the same amount no??) Seems like you are just wasting gold ripping it out first. Sorry if I am misunderstanding.
I was wondering if this was a glitch or known, because I have a rogue and did that once or twice and wasn't sure it was a thing.. The only thing I am sad about n you have to be careful on , is if you extract an aspect and imprint it on a new weapon, u had one that I love where as soon asbyou hit an elite, you get a barrier that lasts for 10 seconds which doesn't sound like a lot but it is massive to get a jump on them, but found a far superior amulet ..and I can't re-imprint it :(😢 so it's gone
Also, it seems that the "fixed values" (or certain values) from the codex level up with you, meaning that some of them will be much better than the ones you have potentially stored in your stash like me, 10 levels ago.
Great video. I especially like how you showed us what would not work. I'm playing as a sorc, and noticed that one of my aspects (Glacial Aspect) says it does X to Y damage in brackets, but it actually does 1/2 X value in blue numbers next to the brackets. I had one on my item before I found that one which said 1/4 X value. Your own skill on your Coldbringer Adventurer's Boots says the blizzard damage is [1,914 to 2,297] damage, but in blue it says 606. What is causing our skills to be weaker than the minimum listed amount?
A bit old so dunno if you need it, but I assume what you're seeing is an aspect from a lower tier item (i.e., sacred) on a higher tier item (i.e., ancestral). The ranges increase on the higher tier items, but your aspect is "locked" at the lower tiers range if you extracted it from said lower tier item.
@@Krayor And to add onto this, aspects with non-percent ranges have said ranges determined by item power, so even if you took a max roll of say a sacred aspect at item power 640, a medium roll aspect dropped on a 740 would have a decent chance to have a higher value purely by the difference in item power itself, just like weapon dps or armor values etc
4:12 - man, it is already best value so it couldn't improve even if it does work like you said previously because it is cooldown and the lower it is the better. It is cooldown value from 40 seconds to 20 and you already rolled 20 seconds which is best.
@@P4wnyhof developers might have added some kind of hard limit for this aspect as it would be OP-ish to lower cooldown even more. Btw, do you know if that trick is a legitimate or will it be fixed as bug?

This seems backwards. Why upgrade before hand vs just upgrading after? All you are doing is just boosting it first than being able to boost it later (it seems it is still going to boost the same amount no??) Seems like you are just wasting gold ripping it out first. Sorry if I am misunderstanding.
Its simple: You can imprint on already upgraded items (and that will happen often in endgame as you reach your best in slot items
@@P4wnyhof ahh I see now, brilliant. Thanks!
NIce, you've explained it really well. I was wondering why I couldn't change my gear stats after doing it two times. everything greys out for me
Great tip! Thanks
I noticed this the other day and it opened a whole new avenue of gearing up. Man is it expensive though.
Hey P4wny how come you don’t upload CoD Content anymore? And what are your thoughts on the NICKMERCS situation?
Another great video, really like the info and the breakdown is awesome for dummies like me ;)
I was wondering if this was a glitch or known, because I have a rogue and did that once or twice and wasn't sure it was a thing..

That doesn’t happen until post 70 it seems. I’ve never found one weaker than codex before then
@@Soundwave299 Good to know, thx!
You did the 40-20 seconds cooldown but already had the better stat, might want to try it if its not at 20 seconds 4:27
can we imprint an aspect on an item that already has an aspect
Exactly !!
Damn that upgrade trick is the shit!
The Legendary effect +2 skeletal mages/warriors CAN be increased by 1 IF u place aspect on your necklace.
Yes we all know... but not the upgrade method
wow. thanks for this man!
Why cant we just extract, imprint and upgrade? Since after imprint, further upgrade wont upgrade the legendary stat...
Because you imprint on a full upgraded item sometimes :)
@@Krayor And to add onto this, aspects with non-percent ranges have said ranges determined by item power, so even if you took a max roll of say a sacred aspect at item power 640, a medium roll aspect dropped on a 740 would have a decent chance to have a higher value purely by the difference in item power itself, just like weapon dps or armor values etc
bro about the COLOR is the BLUE the highest?
What if you applied the aspect into an item with the improved stats. (Two handed weapons or amulets)
That ice freezes people good doesn't it? I love the minions they do work.
Its so much fun seeing people turn to ice :D
Very good to know, thank you=)
4:12 - man, it is already best value so it couldn't improve even if it does work like you said previously because it is cooldown and the lower it is the better. It is cooldown value from 40 seconds to 20 and you already rolled 20 seconds which is best.
With the flat damage you can increase past best value on a max roll :) Its possible - Thats why we tested
@@P4wnyhof developers might have added some kind of hard limit for this aspect as it would be OP-ish to lower cooldown even more.
Btw, do you know if that trick is a legitimate or will it be fixed as bug?
Yeah but don’t you only get increase on 2h wep and other jewelry?
That's why resistance don't go up much it's going off a flat resistance inherent on your character and you can't upgrade your flat resistance.
By upgrading flat damage will this also upgrade the level you aspect too?
To your level
you can incease skeley number as well
i had low lvl boot get 3
ehm...but...the aspect you extracted actually went on the ground...?
I got three minions by putting my enchantment on an amulet
how do you know it's not just a visual bug?
Are these upgrades not because the item breakpoints?
Nope - You can push past the max cap of your aspect in general
Flat damage blue numbers can be upgraded
Gold numbers, time values and porcentajes can't
Why? Noboby knows why
