I know you're doing your own thing, but please do something about once a month or we'll get worried. I wasn't sure if I was even subscribed anymore. If you've actually been taken, I'm your Neeson , but two inches shorter(who knew his agent claimed he was 6'4"), 30+ years younger, and at least twice as strong..I know that's a bold claim, but I've thrown 85lbs over my head 100 times today. If someone has taken you they better hope their doors are made of steel of I'll walk right through.
As someone who did both a bachelor's and master's degree in a topic I really thought I was going to build my entire professional life around and then, immediately upon graduating, abandoned entirely, I can say that feeling is super valid. However, divorcing the idea that putting in the effort to do something and then doing something else entirely is a failure or a waste of time, is a really good idea. Just because you might not ultimately end up working in film (or whatever )doesn't mean the education and effort you put into learning to do that thing is wasted. I don't use my master's degree in any sort of professional setting at all, but HAVING a master's degree has opened a lot of doors for me. Plus, the skills and knowledge I learned through putting in that time and effort, have allowed me to grow in a lot of other ways. I think what's important to remember is that all of that work you put in - even if it ends up not being directly related to your field - will undoubtedly come in use and you'll be better for having put it in in the first place. Also, I think we often can't find what we want to do until we go through lots of other things first to figure out what it is. Some people are able to stumble upon that thing early, but there's nothing wrong with going through lots of different incarnations of professions before you figure out what's going to make you happy in the long run.
Tessa, i love how you're always so interested in how your friends feel and wiling to make them think about it. That's so empathic of you and so lovely :)
I think it's important to try as many things as you can. As an artist in Theatre, I have learned to be versatile in the art. I am getting into film as well. It is okay to set a goal, do it to the best of your ability, and then change it. As long as you are happy in the end, and can say that you did it. Once you have learned a skill, it never goes away. Tessa, when you said the best way to get better is to practice, you are spot on. If you want to figure out what you want to do in the film industry, just try all of the different things. I am still learning some stuff in film. It is okay to put a lot of hard work i to something you're not quite sure of. No one will look down on you!:) Never give up, and don't stop doing what you love!:)
Zannah don't be afraid to commit to something bc you're scared that eventually you'll end up not caring about it! Just think of it in terms of making the most of a learning opportunity. Like if you care about something/want to do a thing, do it! Do it as much as you can and learnt about it as much as you can. There's no right way to live your life. Even if you end up changing your mind, that's okay, you still will have valuable experiences and skills that you can find some way to use in the new thing you choose to do. Also Tessa love this series, this was just what I needed after waking up at 6am from an awful nightmare
I just love how sweet and wholesome this was. Thank you, I definitely appreciate this video. And the talk about assemblies and performing makes me nostalgic of my theater days. Thanks for hitting me in the feels. XD
I absolutely love your pillow talk videos, I find them to be very relaxing. (Feet also make me uncomfortable for some reason, glad I'm not the only one).
Watching your responses to Zannah, Tessa, made me feel like you are such an amazing mentor to people. Keep being you...you're affecting people's lives for the better
From your obsession with Frezned back in 2008 to this, you have evolved so much, it's been a great journey Tessa, here's to many more years of awesome content!
I remember the confetti at the tour show in Richmond, VA. that was a good time! Look forward to hearing you the next time you are in town. Love & peace to you both.
whaT ZANNAH IS 18 THIS IS A LIFE REALISATION MOMENT I WAS GOING TO COMMENT ON HOW ETHEREAL YOU BOTH LOOK AND HOW I AGREED WITH ZANNAH'S FEAR BUT I ALWAYS THOUGHT SHE WAS OLDER im sorry for the caps I didnt mean to I loved the vid
My dad is a manager for a night club in Las Vegas and he said he really liked your music. He works with the top people in music and he enjoys you more than them. Just thought you would be happy to know that. Love you, keep doing what you're doing💕
I love this series so much! 😊😊 also I was about to ask what the end song was but I had a feeling that you already read peoples mind and put it in the description before hand. thx lol 😂❤
Hey Tessa, your videos always make me feel like everything is going to be okay, even thoug I know thats highly improbable since "everything" is quite a lot, but thanks for the momentary illusion :)
I saw you last November and honestly i drove the hour and spent the money just to see you.. haha. I didn't know any of rusty's music and I knew one or two of Dodie's songs, but i went because i had been following you since mindgeek/meekakitty days. Not over you is an experience i will never forget. I had been in a really bad place for weeks and during your set i just kinda let go of everything. When you sang not over you and had everyone get down on the floor and had us jump back up with the release of the confetti felt unreal. I kept a couple pieces of the confetti just to remind myself that it really happened. The show was amazing and you are truly an inspiration to me.

pillow talk should be a podcast. I've missed pillow talks
Femke Meijboom agreed
I LOVE the format of Pillow Talk - it works so well at encouraging discussion and fun and thoughtfulness
i want tessa to be my counsellor
yup
is Zannah's hair made of clouds? Is Tessa's hair made of strawberries?
SQM we will never know *flies of into the distance*
SQM Strawberries and Cream was the snack of the video 😂
Find out on the next Dragon Ball Z
SQM I think Tessa herself is made of strawberries
did it feel as much 'big sister - little sister' for you as it did for me? it's somehow very calming and comforting to watch the two of you chat :)
Tessa's pillow talk videos are so cute and they always make me happy ❤️❤️
lmao i actually got so uncomfortable thinking about my feet as hands ,, Tessa why,,,
the plan is working
Because of my bad back, I sometimes pick things up with my feet and hand it off to my hand. Let that image set in.
i assume pregnant women do that all the time xDD
With this plan, some animals have 4+ hands
I love these pillow talk videos. I kind of wish they were longer! I really enjoy just watching people talk to each other.
The naturalness of those pillow talks make being in Tessa's video a life goal!
Tessa, you are so inspirational :) Thank you for your videos filled with that pastel aesthetic!
