Thanks for this story. It makes me wonder why we, the general public, haven't heard much about this when other similar endeavors (to space) by wealthy individuals were fodder for news for weeks, if not months. At least here, there's the notion and motivation of "giving back", to learn more about our planet.
Right bc even 2 years ago, when I was looking into the ocean it was still this mystery. like it was so unachievable to reach the bottom. But I wonder what about the other part of the ocean such as the trenches. Has any human successfully gone there? Edit: I commented too soon, so he did go to the Marinara Trench and this time frame is a few years new so my time line would be correct of not seeing it on RUclips 2 years ago when I was searching.
Yes and that maybe because the military is already writing him for a favor. Because design is a big part of the expense of having such a vehicle and the military will now want one and it will be more affordable because the technology is already been proven. And they won't want other countries to try to obtain the same thing. So they are probably asking and building already and if they do find a UFO City at the bottom or anything else like that they are not going to share that information. In fact there is likely as not to declare an area off limits because it allegedly has a live volcano that would be disturbed by vibrations or some other BS to keep other people away from whatever their Discovery might be. Again I feel that it's 50/50 that there could actually be something like a UFO base of operations under there. But I would like it clarified one way or the other. And seeing as how we already have I believe the sonar capability to map the bottom of the ocean it should not be hard to systematically explore it and if we can't "see" all the way to the bottom from above the ocean with some sort of napping capability this vessel surely can do a better job of that as well so that they don't have to search the entire thing mile by mile... they could also check out the Bermuda Triangle and see how many jet liners are under there. Although if there are some Geo forces under there some magnetic fields or some anomaly that might be a risky thing to do even under the water. If the electronic controls when Haywire that could be pretty bad.
Talk about under pressure. Finally man has built a submersible that withstands the strongest pressure. Thank you so much .🙏✌👍 Keep exploring our oceans as they are so unexplored.
I don’t know why the comments were turned off the most recent segment featuring Daen wright were turned off but I can imagine. I just want to say Bravo to Ms Wright. What an achievement!
Very very cool. The pieces that CBS puts together are so classy funny and interesting. They make you see the good in the world and the good people in it. I’m also glad it was this guy and not James Cameron who came up with this. Thank you God like that ego needs anything else… lol

Amazing!! Loved this story.
Thank goodness for eccentric rich renaissance men! This is wonderful!

Wonder if they made a video of their discoveries down there for us to see
Awesome story, thanks!
Would have loved to hear about how they pressurized the cabin of the sub.
"Real life captain ego." I mean, "Nemo". Love it.
So cool 😎
Super cool
Bravo! Let's get the news out of this wonderful conquering of the deep!
If you read this I hope you are having a wonderful weekend 💙✌
Love it. However I don't think they are giving up all the secrets about the sub.
Wow
Amazing.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Can't they help to find Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.😟😟😟😟😟😟
I would go down with the pilot. Only I know how expensive each preparation for each dive costs. Millions?
Where's all the video?
I have said all along, rather than exploring space, we need to be exploring the ocean.
What a tensive video.
With the technology that we have today, why the heck have we not done this sooner?
I don’t know why the comments were turned off the most recent segment featuring Daen wright were turned off but I can imagine. I just want to say Bravo to Ms Wright. What an achievement!
Many racist comments were posted there. Very sad. But thanks for watching!
Don't they find plastic and trash on the oceans floors on these trips?.
Better have a bathroom down there after the beer…
For seeing something so rare, barely saw any footage of what was on the sea floor. Disappointing. More footage of them submersing or drinking beer
She’s beautiful, who is she?
Deepest I have dived is 150 feet
RELEASE THE KRAKEN !
😯
We haven't been to the moon

Heck YES I WOULD GO DOWN THERE
DEEP DEEP DEEP DOWN BELOW
AMAZING #GOD
So how about finding MH370 with this tech... 🤔
🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺
Yet another beautiful case study in how capitalism raises the standard of living for all of humanity.
Thumbs down. Poor video. Why didnt you tell us how much that sub cost
$37 million
A lot, but it was a rich guys money to spend, not taxpayer money.
I watched hoping to get some information on what is down there.
I just wasted 7 mins of life.
Its too bad the boys from Edison Chouest beat them too it they had already done all 5 dives
