    Happy to see Kittley leave the 806. He was handed the job at TTU because of his last name. Tech will never be a serious contender due to Kirby Hocutts lack of care to build an actual athletic program. We have a glorified high school football coach leading a Division 1 NCAA team.

    RC, it is ok to get a little excited. Give Coach Mac a little time to develop a plan to get us the right people. Yes the portal opens soon. We have facilities, NIL money, and this program is moving forward. Remain calm and deliver the facts. Keep it positive. Take the panic out of your delivery. We will be OK. Keep up the good work. Wreck’em

      Agree. RC great work but tap the breaks. You’ve noted Joey is the guy. Can’t agree more there. He’s great. He gets good people and gets those he recruits. He’s Mike leach 2.0. Leach’s teams took time to get to the top. Joey’s on the right path. He’ll get tech there

    Look peeps!!! This maybe shocking news to us Raider fans, but I can assure you Joey is ahead of the curve on coordinator replacements. DC coordinator, Joey knew this move was inevitable weeks ago. So you can bet he's 95% on got someone in that slot before the news was released yesterday. Again on the OC side, football programs across the nation have been contacting Kitley since day one at Tech. Again, Joey already has a very short list for a new OC. Joey is an incredible coach and has developed an incredible culture at Texas Tech. He will find incredible people to fill those slots!!!! Wreck Em!!!!

    • @omarhernandez2480
      @omarhernandez2480 7 часов назад

      If you believe Joey is an incredible coach then you are an idiot! Not only was our offense garbage when we needed it, but he couldn’t get a good game plan. The fact that we went 8-4 is terrible considering that he talks about first time since Mike Leach to win 8 games! Joey is a total dumbass with that statement because he has such a high NIL for players that he should be winning a minimum of 8 games. You are one of the reasons why Tech will be a mediocre team because you praise mediocrity! Get the F out of here with Joey is a great coach bullshit!

    Maybe Joey will recruit some of his High School Coaches from some of the Elite programs in Texas to be his new Coordinators. If they are any good, you can expect them stay in LBK for only a year but at least he get a year out of them. The problem for Tech now is that all of the good DC’s & OC’s want to go to the SEC & B10 or to some of the sexier programs….hard to bring anyone to LBK.

      Most of the “good DCs and OCs” want to go to some Sec and B1G programs. They’re not crawling across glass to get to the Miss State, Kentucky, Purdue and Marylands of the football world. It’s not possible for every good coordinator to coach in the top 2 or 3 programs in media’s preferred conferences. Lastly, as is the case with programs around the country, it’s not “hard to bring anyone to Lubbock.” It’s hard to bring the right fit to Lubbock.

      @raleighsanford5111 8 часов назад

      @@valantheflame0193 Was he fine at Louisville? Or was he the same as he was here and at Oregon? Where he looked great at times, then blew it. It does look like Morton's ceiling isn't as high as hoped, but when healthy, he looked better than Shough at Tech & Kittley let him go in favor of Morton in the end, so 2 OCs gave up on Shough. Then you have the whole aspect of where Morton might be if Kittley spotted the difference right off instead of needing 2 years.

  • @JPinShenzhen
    @JPinShenzhen 17 часов назад

    I look at it like this:
    1. Kittley's first two years weren't good. Tahj and Kelly got a lot done this year. Next year, with no Brooks, no #1 receiver and a mediocre Kittley OC, he would have returned to what he was.
    2. Even for this season, defense won us the ASU, Arizona, and Iowa State games. Offense won us the Cincy, FCS, and Okie State games. The other games won were a combination (UNT and WVU).
    Sorry, not sorry - sometimes, numbers do lie. I'm happy. Hopefully no nepotism or "good ole boy" BS influences the next hire.

    Tech was top of the league on Offense so any replacement will likely not be able to reproduce Kittley’s results. So, anyone else will be a disappointment. The Defense can only get better since they were 2nd to last in the FBS. No Tahj and likely no Hammond and no 5 Star recruit Micah Hudson. Sad times to be a Red Raider fan. Best to have very low expectations for next year…..like last place.

      Oh please! Tech's was good despite Kittley. The offense is tops EVERY year because of the players that come here. Kittley is responsible for at least a few loses by himself. A win at TCU could've put in the title game! That is 100% on him. Furthermore there were tons of time his play calling put our defense in terrible positions! Not to mention the all time worst call- the bubble screens that resulted in -100 yards this year!

    Getting quantifiably top tier level production with a highly flawed OL is WILD.
