Gerald don't sell yourself short just because you don't work in an office. You run your own business that's takes brains to do successfully. A guy like me watches your channel and wishes we knew what you do. I'm about your age and wanting to go from construction to trucking. It's quickly becoming obvious even if I can make the transition I'll always be behind the eight ball. Dig what you do sir.
Looks like comments are turned off so I'm using reply : I guess the green truck has blow by , are there any oil additives that have proven to worked ???
Hey Gerald, great to see the videos and see you end dumpin! Looks like the end dump is quick load and unload,... unlike the sometimes 5 hour waits with the hopper. Keep the great videos rollin!
I always left it in gear anytime i engaged PTO ,then knock her outa gear , just a habit . Ive seen em not even push the clutch in , damn !! i would try to take care of it like it belonged to me . Kinda sorta miss driving & the money too , just not all the stress & BS. .Enjoyed the video Sir , Thanks !! Take care !! I did see the vid of Your Son a short i think it was , He sounded Good !! Catch Ya Later !! Good Luck on Ya motor swap !!
Good video sorry to see you're having problems with the green truck I do like that 3:59 though I look good on that Hopper I had one of them GMC Denali a couple years ago traded it for a ram dually be blessed brother
Gday Gerald Even though you got motor rebuild in the 379, you certainly sound a lot happier Mate Really enjoy the videos working on the trucks Take Care Mate
I am genuinely impressed with how much of your own work you do on those old girls. If you ever want to get off the road you'd make it as a 1 man traveling 359, 379 Cat expert mechanic/repair/roadside repair business. All you need is yourself and an air compressor and as much of your shop as you can fit in the back of the service truck. Heck, id call ya if i was sitting on side of road! Good luck, how about totally rwbuild tue 379? Strip it down to frame rails and build it back yourself. Ive done that to 2 trucks (not myself) i hire a shop... and once i get the few rebuild kinks worked out... the trucks just run... tjey just plain run. Its been worth it. Can count on em to make their loads. Respect, and good luck. Id like to see you work on the 3406E! Get some good vid of that bud!
Thanks for Sharing. Hate to hear about your engine, comes with the trucking I guess. Wonder if you have a leaking air intake and been sucking up dust? Strange it happens right after you made the switch to dump trailer. Or I guess it just burnt a piston. Been where your at more times than I would like to think about. At least we get to see 359 Action! I added some links to my profile, enjoy TGP
379 reminds me of the woman that takes all of our time and money, but we keep taking her back thinking it's going to work out. Tell her "we need to see other people".
I guess if all of this had happened several weeks ago you could have done all the motor mounts and other repairs then instead of all the work you did before. Aint trucking just full of fun fun fun

Gerald when it rains it pours you’ll get it together. You always seem to do. You and your family have a blessed weekend, my brother.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I had a good time hanging out talking trucks. Maybe next time we'll turn some wrenches and get some stuff done.

Have you thought about takin that right tank off and finding someone to make it a split tank
Hey man, what are you hauling... I ran a dump wagon just like that and haul lime
She sounds fine ? best wishes from Canada ,maybe 5 gallons is excessive ?
Trying to keep two trucks in shape usually means you don't have ONE truck worth a damn.
Yes I hear it heard that sound before 🙉
Do you recap your own casings. I would dump about 1 gallon of STP motor for now and dump a little ATF in fuel tank.
BAM BAM!!!
379 reminds me of the woman that takes all of our time and money, but we keep taking her back thinking it's going to work out. Tell her "we need to see other people".
Why is there such a big gap between fuel tank and step on the 359....that way from factory??
The way they were made back then
👍👍😊
You should just sell the green truck with all the problems you are having and find you a good Peterbilt day cab with a wet kit on it.
Hi Dirty Trucker
I guess if all of this had happened several weeks ago you could have done all the motor mounts and other repairs then instead of all the work you did before. Aint trucking just full of fun fun fun
Have your seatbelt on when dumping. you never know.
You act like you feel better being home every night
✌👍👊💪☎️
What does the 379 have in it, a CAT?
Yes an E model cat
