  • My personal opinion on the gear that I use:
    1. 6x8 speedbag made by ‪@Ronispeedbag‬
    2. 14XR Swivel made by ‪@Speedbagthrasher‬
Highly recommend both of these if you are looking for quality equipment.

Awesome David! The rifling was added in the neck of the swivel for looks and because it changed the sound of the swivel when using the eye hook.

Also I'm interested in your setup outside of the bag ans swivel. I'm personally in a place with not too many low ceiliings, so I'm curious how you're setup for hanging a bag as worked out

So there are two options for mounting a speedbag platform: one option is by anchoring the platform into the wall studs. Very sturdy and reduces a lot of vibration, but very noisy (especially if you live in an apartment or condo/duplex that has shared walls with neighbors). The other option (my current setup) is to create a free standing frame to install both the speedbag platform, speedbag, and swivel. Much quieter setup throughout the home since vibration isn't transferred to the walls, but there is significantly more vibration within the frame itself since it is not anchored to a wall.

I am not even interested in speed bags etc. But I've watched it whole for some reason, maybe it's because you review it so naturally

Have you tried the Jim Bradley bags? Any idea on how they compare? Awesome vids btw!!

Yes, I have a Jim Bradley 6x9 and 5x8 speed bag. They are both excellent in terms of responsiveness and comfort on the hands. The 6x9 bags have a larger sweet spot to hit, so it is more friendly for beginners to learn on. The 5x8 bags have a smaller sweet spot, but in return, they can achieve much faster rebound speed once you crank up the intensity. I highly recommend these bags as well.
