This talk has without a doubt shifted my perspective on UXD... for good. This is a must see for anyone in UX. I will share this with everyone in my UX community. Thank you USI for the upload.
This is a great lecture, not only for UX designers but also business people. At the end of the day, we all want to make money from selling products, giving the best services to customers. Jared Spool pulled out really interesting evidences of how people look at products/services, blind points. Thank you for posting this.
Looking at the Walmart website just 3 years ago when this video was posted vs what it looks like today....wow. Night and day. Kudos to the designers. And....love the Crutchfield strategy. So smart.
While designing any product or application, the first & foremost thing that needs to be considered is its usability. Do your users enjoy your product or service? Jarod spool pulled out some interesting pieces of evidence on how a user thinks about your product. There are misconceptions about UX strategy, *users consider a UX strategy is actually a UX design. But it is NOT!* Our CEO _Bansi Mehta_ answered some of these commonly misunderstood questions in her video on *Why Should You Have A UX Strategy In Place?* in just 3 minutes. Request you to take some time and watch, as we would love to hear from you.
Sorry, Jared but this is pretty old stuff in the UX world... may be news to novices but it's been around for a long long long time for any UXer worth their salt and having done UX for a while.
@Quill UX is a major part of the domain of product development. The features that are in a system and how they are implemented directly affects the users' experience of a system.
