My wife and I watch all your videos! Loved this split video idea! Like seeing your life on the tug! Worked at power plants and unloaded some fuel pushed in by tugs on oil barges! Tug crews were always friendly and ate well.

Oh Ian, the Conecuh sausage you guys had is currently made about 40 miles from where I live, they are building a 50 million dollar plant in my town Andalusia Al, and are opening a retail outlet on one of the major "beach routes" in our town also!

Today is my last day of Staycation. Just worked on the house, and bought a new (for me) boat. It was relaxing. Back to the mines tomorrow. Hoping to expand my travels when I retire to include a visit to your area. So much to do down there. I'll be going solo as my wife absolutely abhors any real heat and humidity. Maybe late April-Early May is a bit less intense?? Love watching you guys. I was a squid for 14 years, so I really appreciate all of the videos on the tug. God bless you guys.
This may sound strange, but I love being on the open ocean just watching it go by. You could set the go pro on the top of the tug for the whole trip and I would absolutely watch it.
Aloha. Being ex navy and having worked on both charter and dive boats, doesn’t sound weird at all. The sight, sound, smell, and movement are all things I miss. Unless it’s a hurricane.

I actually enjoy videos like this. In fact, during the times that you are out on a tug, if you'd share more of the How To's and the What Fors etc. Eg. show and explain the goings on when you are leaving a harbor then again when you are approaching your destination. Reeling in and reeling out the cables, what to look out for etc
Good video. The split format was a good presentation. That's something y'all can play with more in the future. I've always been a little curious about what goes on in the barging business. You can educate us as we move along. And, Chrystal did a god job of producing from the home front!

As a former towboater I love the tug videos. I'd personally love to see more video on making and breaking tow. How you hook up the wires and such. Our boat had push knees and we pushed our tows. I'm fascinated by the actual towing aspect. Do yo get assistance pulling off the dock or do you do it yourselves? Maybe a video showing you bringing coffee to your relief when it's time for watch change. I was on Front watch and had to wake up the pilot who was a 3 tour Vietnam veteran. Sometimes I'd go to wake him up and he'd be having dreams about being back in the "Nam. He would be sweating and thrashing. Not a good dream. Our boat had that same white paneling so that brought me back to yesteryear. Back then nearly everybody smoked cigarettes and those white panels would get coated with nicotine. We had to clean them every crew change. As well as strip and wax the floors (on your hands and knees with a rag) and wash the entire boat. Question. How do you keep your tow straight behind you in high winds when empty? Thanks for sharing your stories!
I also drove a forklift back and forth at many different jobs throughout my working career. I know that they use forklifts at the port. All I know is that security was one of the lower paying jobs. If you have some kind of a skill set that you can use the TWIC for at a port, many of the jobs out there pay half decently. I love to pick up cars or something odd like that in cargo with a forklift! That just seems really neat! Okay, thanks again!
Love this for many reasons. I live in FL and my GF teaches. Nothing wrong with the girls going and having fun while he works. Worked well that way for a loooooong time. And I've worked, and raised my girls. I'll clock in any day of the week. Domestic stuff is hard!!!! Lol.

So you really can’t keep it straight. Inshore we keep it close , offshore we are just aware of the set
