The “team America fuck yeah” patch, love it! Jason you’re a Legend brother in an era of a different kind or Hero that deserves our constant thanks! As a dad of daughters Thankyou for your sacrifice that’s helped keep my daughters world a safer place! Patrick the same to you! Truly Thankyou. Longtime sub of an awesome channel! s.A.
It's reassuring to hear from someone who has done so much and still has the ability to reflect, to learn, and to admit his mistakes. This man is still on an amazing journey.
Jason Lilley's story is a must hear. I was totally blown away by amount of training he and other endure in the MARSOC community and the types of engagements he was involved in.
I’m an ex South African military medic and I just love listening to these incredible humans, one thing I would love to hear about is you Ryan, someone should interview you and hear your combat story!
I never served but I was raised in the service, son of a vet .I have the highest admiration for are vets like to you .thank you for sharing your story with us.
I am happy to hear that Spagettios and Ravioli was a staple to others as well as it was for me. I have been listening to the stories you guys tell and I am in awe of the intestinal fortitude that it takes to live the life. Thank you all for telling the story!
I volunteered after high school, I was unable to serve as I had hoped to serve. I have many veteran friends and what you guys do help me understand what they are dealing with after their life of service. I understand more how all of them are dealing with PTSD and other issues like guilt from surviving when their comrades in arms did not.
Ah, this was so great! Thanks for coming back again, Jason. And thank you Ryan for giving the people what they wanted. You always do, and more! You've really hit your stride on Combat Story and your natural style really is smooth as hell. I always look forward to new episodes.
Riveting. Jason is such a good guy. He has so much wisdom to pass on to the next generations, who will really benefit from it. Love the interview format, where you let the man talk and bare his soul: and that’s where all the gold is. Thank you.
An incredible story teller…as expected from this show and Ryan, a top shelf interview. Lets go for a 3rd 😊. We need to know what these guys have done on our behalf. Thank you both for your service.
To see this side of Jason Lilley in contrast to how he presents himself in Savage Actual. A True Renaissance man possessing deep rooted time tested Wisdom, Humility and a Zen like quality of a Buddhist Monk. Thank you Ryan!! Looking forward to interviews of Jason's "buddies" in the future.
Both parts of Jason's story are "SHIT HOT!" Loved hearing the raw stories showcasing the brutality war brings out. I find lots of vets telling their story barely scratch the surface. It's refreshing hearing a guy like Jason not hold back and just tells it how it is.
Patrick Sending a generator , the Spectre Gunship bro offering his home , Jason helping him board up his grandmas windows, the brotherhood of military personnel, the selflessness is amazing!!!! It Carrie’s beyond combat and tours , unbelievable !!
Paralyzed Vet., SAPPER, here -Yes, It IS Literally unbelievable. i am sure some people somewhere benefits from this; Praise GOD! But, i only hear about such things (it's more a psy-op). LmK!
May God Bless you and your family Mr. Lilley. Thank you for your sacrifice and service to keep my family and I safe. Your a/an American Hero in my eyes sir. Thank you.
This has got to be one of my favorites and it's hard to pick on your channel. Todd opalski definitly comes to mind too. Great stories and insight. Thank you for doing this.
I carefully watched and listened to Part 1 of your interview of this extraordinary American. Thank you to both of you; men who have given everything within your beings to all of us. I am 77 and I am not a veteran. I offered the Army myself as a medic. I had angered the Captain--shrink at my pre-induction physical. The Navy was just down the hall and I went there offering myself, but to be a corpsman attached to the USMC. Yes, I was a CO, but also had some history of serious bodily injury in H.S.; I have never figured out why my "offer of the blank check. I had made it clear that if I was treating a wounded soldier/marine, I could kill to protect my patient. I was a skilled woodsman, a fine tracker and already had the essential skills in medical treatment. I am still a truly expert marksman. I wish I could personally speak with you, Mr. Fugit.
Was really looking forward to this second round, and as expected it delivered! Amazing stories told! RIP SGT ROB "CREATURE" Budrick #USARMY #1SFG #RANGER #CONTRACTOR #PMC #22ADAY
Great episode, I love the no bullshit approach from both you and your guests, no sugar coating it, we were in the business of killing other men that wanted to kill you, and would in an instant, or worse like what those animals aka ISIS, IS K, etc….. who would make sure you felt as much fear and pain as they could inflict on you as well as citizens, it’s men like Jason, Shrek, DJ Shipley, Marcus and the seemingly endless list of names who make sure that the bad actors have short life spans and do not get the chance to bring their barbaric hatred of us to our soil, there is not enough thanks nor appreciation given to them, the silent professionals, it still amazes me how far advanced we have become since I served in the 80’s, thank you Jason, and you Ryan for bringing some of the experiences of those who lived it to light to have their stories told, and not be forgotten by time. I hope there is a part 3.
You should talk to Fred Galvin about that first MARSOC deployment if you haven't already. Those guys got thrown under the bus to appease the Iraqi government. It didn't help that the conventional Marine Corps didn't want that unit to exist.
I lived on the Atlantic Coast, having grown up in Colorado. The native Floridians were crazy. When they would evacuate for a hurricane, they would start at the beach, moved everybody over the Intercoastal Waterway, then raise all the drawbridges to prevent anybody from returning. The locals would prepare by holing up in a two story with plenty of food and water and booze. Tape up the glass to keep windows from blowing glass in, and call it it a Hurricane Party.
I know you're always good about reminding viewers to not get too specific, but just wondering if you work with DOPSR or an Agency equivalent before publishing these videos? I worked for the Command as a support bubba for a few years and these videos really help scratch the itch. Thanks for everything, Ryan.
It's interesting how Buddhism has helped Jason with intentionality and peace. I haven't studied it closely, but ideas from Buddhism helped me deal with the sudden death of a loved one. Nothing is permanent. (Look into the far future of the universe and there will be a day when only photons are left.) Life is a constant rebuilding from things, small and big, breaking apart. It helped me get back into living when I accepted the struggle.

Seems like both OBL and 1S1S could have been shut down quickly but forces were prevented from doing so by the powers that be. As Jason says; it's probably about money.

I'm subbed to far too many channels and have too many devices to ever want each one to go nuts 24 hours a day, mostly through the damn night, to want that annoyance. (TV, mobile, tablet and laptop = way too many device notifications to listen to and have to clear well over a dozen times per day each, sheeesh) But I usually get two more polite and less intrusive ways to check for any new uploads when I open up the RUclips app. Yours would always be in there. But not this one. I searched for it and found it, but thought you should know that this was happening. Algorithm bs. Heads up.

Great discussion to hear about Marsoc and its beginnings. I have been out of the military since 95 and so much has changed.
