      Of course not, If we talking about the 80s she was in her late teens early 20s. As the years go by it is true you lost octaves if you don’t continue practicing. Plus the other stuff she did.

    • @NawiTheCore
      @NawiTheCore 8 месяцев назад

      @@TheEarthRealm Her vocal peak was probably 1990-1992. Her timbre had matured a lot and her voice acquired a lot of depth, but her range was intact and stamina was unmatched. Her first vocal issues started in 1991, but she quickly recovered. But after years of heavy touring, her voice was in not-so-great condition by the end of 1994. Afterwards, her drug use and smoking increased and her voice deteriorated rapidly. By the end of 1996, she had lost some range and she'd run out of breath very quickly. By 1997, she had lost a lot of range in her upper register and could no longer belt anything above C5-D5 with ease. That's the reason most of the performances of "Exhale" were such a mess. That Eb5-F5 belt that would've been a piece of cake for Prime Whitney was nearly impossible for her at that time. Then she started to lower the key to all of her songs and changed her style of singing. She had a few okay years, but her voice continued to deteriorate.

    He's right. Whitney's voice just got husky and dry, but the power remained the same, and it was a matter of work and time to get it back. Too bad she didn't stop smoking, but her voice wasn't "dead" as many of you say. Vocal chords are muscles, so when you work them out, they get stronger everyday. Whitney still had it, so sad she didn't quit cigarettes...

    He is right. Her voice was her. It represented her spirit. Her inner voice was taken away the moment she had to suppress and hide her queerness and relationship with Robyn Crawford. That drove her disconnection to her true self and fueled her addiction. That slowly broke her spirit. And then it was only a matter of time to see even the greatest voice in the world suffer as it did. An outward manifestation of an inward problem. When it is not safe to be who we are, our life force recedes slowly as it doesn’t feel welcome. Breaks my heart to realize that this incredible soul who gave us such moments that had the touch of the divine, was suffering so much herself.

    I also think that on some subconscious level, she didn't want her voice back. That beautiful voice was a source of trouble in not just her life, but in her marriage and family. That voice cost her alot, especially her privacy. I think she reached an existential point in her life where she wondered whether there were other dimensions to her personhood other than just being The Voice.

    I don't think her voice could come back in 95%, but 50% of Whitney voice's is more than 10% percent of many singers, and I could be happy. I also red an article by a another vocal coach, before Whitney's death, that her main problem was cigarettes. So I believe if she stopped with cigarettes about 70% percent of her voice could come back. Guys realize, people who smoke so many time stay with their voices husky, so if she had stopped and she keeps singing her voice would improve.

    I think he could have because in Milan concert her voice was 75 percent. Whitney voice just would have never been strong enough to tour night after night she was in her late 40's pushing 50's touring all her life. Her voice would definitely be more sensitive. Her voice is her agile, and able to be restored very quickly. Even in late 90's she had some issues, but she would regain it back 90 to 95 percent through vocal prep.

Second WH voice went into decline after she gave birth to her daughter ...her range in the BG soundtrack & tour concerts is at least an octave lower than her sophomore albums. Post 1996 the drugs and cigs started taking a noticeable decline esp heard on the Preachers wife soundtrack ..Yes she could hit those long high notes with power but seemed forced and not as natural as theyd been before. After 2000 RIP Whitney Houstons Voice forever non recoverable. The comeback tour of 2010 was just a promo to boost sales for when they "finished" her off as she was more lucrative dead than alive. Krissy knew this and that's why they finished her off aswell incase she spilt the beans on Clive Davis killing her mother

      @Slaychelle 6 лет назад +6

      I don't think she actually lost range until the 2000s. Between the early 80s and early 90s, Whitney was clearly a Spinto Soprano, with a powerful, rich, but creamy voice which blossoms at full power with crystalline, effortless, free top notes. By The Bodyguard, her voice had naturally matured but also darkened and her tessitura lowered in songs, so she'd still hit the same high notes but less frequently and the general pitch of the songs were lower (You Give Good Love or You're Still My Man compared to I Have Nothing or I Will Always Love You).
      Her voice continued to dark during the 90s and by Preacher's Wife she had the same creamy quality to her voice (Who Could Imagine A King) but with more depth in her timbre and even darker sound. By this point she sounded like a mezzo-soprano completely but was still able to sing soprano brilliantly during climaxes (Joy the World, He's All Over Me).
      Between The Bodyguard and The Preacher's Wife, Whitney's voice was transitioning from soprano to mezzo-soprano, so it was lower but the range was still there. However between My Love is Your Love - where she sounds fully settled in her new mezzo voice - and Just Whitney, the smoothness of her voice was replaced with a slight husk which got more prominent as her tone became less rounded and operatic and sounded more pinched, even nasal on upper belts.
      She still recorded some brilliant vocal performances on Just Whitney and her following Christmas album. Though her tonal quality and range diminished, she still knew how to use what she had.

It’s fucked up when even Whitney is done wrong by the man who discovered her. He clearly wasn’t taking care of her and only death could have deemed profitable. It’s always the money. The darkness of money.

    She in her last year, could no longer hit the 'C' note range. She struggled just to maintain it and it was evident she had lost most of her vocal range.

    NOPE NOPE NOPE, She was not one of the most brilliant or prolific singers of all time!!! Whitney "Nippy" Houston was indeed without a shadow of a doubt the greatest singer in the history of mankind. Her voice was like angels in Heaven all singing at one time. She was, THE VOICE, and there was no one who could touch her singing ability. Whitney was a blessing to every ear that ever heard her sing. She will always be what others strive for, imitate and try and duplicate. WHITNEY HOUSTON will live on years after we are dead and gone as "THE GREATEST SINGER IN THE WORLD!!!"
    You stand corrected sir but that's ok

    The Hilton Hotel video cameras showing each floor of the motel and especially Whitney and her daughter Bobbie Christina whom was almost drowned in that same motel the day before Whitney’s death in Whitney found her.is an indication that sinister acts were in play before Whitney’s death. Ray J Pat and Gary Houston plus Pats Btothers. Whitney’s makeup artist Clive Davis Others should have to give Statements and also account for their whereabouts while Whitney was in her room The so called Son should give a statement. DPitts💀👀👽👺

    preposterous.....even those of us with no voice have a life....maybe no career, but def a life!

    • @hardren101
      @hardren101 8 лет назад +1

      your missing his point.....someone who has never vocal ability but sings at weddings periodically has a very different attachment to their vocal ability than someone who has made their entire life and their sobriquet is the "voice"...Whitney houston ,barbara striesand had extraordinary vocal ability...if you watched any of whitney's performances around the bodyguard....when she sang she commanded attention and was very confident....the year of her death...whitney was having a very hard time of it...she cld hold a note but the charisma was gone....if she were still alive and unable to do what she was known for....she wld have had a very hard time dealing with that...

    • @melvinmoore6250
      @melvinmoore6250 8 лет назад

      i clearly understand that point...she was versatile and did much with her voice but there was still much more to her...do you get MY point?

    • @hardren101
      @hardren101 8 лет назад +1

      i totally respect your point of view.....based on your comment...i was attempting to clarify his statement...her voice did not define who she was...and i totally agree there was much more to her...she was a wife and a mother in addition to artist.....but her biggest accomplishment and what the public loved her for....whitney' had a twofold talent ...she was an amazing vocalist...but she also had an amazing talent for interpreting music....if she were unable to earn money that way...it wld be devastating...

    • @hardren101
      @hardren101 8 лет назад +1

      i wld agree an its interesting that you mentioned vocal and interpretation...most ppl dnt realize the interpretation part is as important as the vocal part....dolly parton was the author of i will always love you and released her version of it years b4 whitney....and her interpretation and whitney are night n day....barbara Streisand had an amazing voice but her greater gift was how she cld interpret a song...there are mny talanted n attractive vocalists attempting to break into music industry but are lacking the charisma it factor...n that it factor is the interpretation part...what mny also fail to comprehend is life is 100% mental but we interpret it ass physical translated into feelings....behind the mental interpretion is 100% energy(what's actually behind every physical element is energy)...as a celebrity that energy is super magnetized 1k fold.....your every move is judged by everyone...you can not step outside your door and just blend in...you are unable to go to the movies,supermarket,a simple walk in the park....somewhere during ur journey...drugs are introduced into the mix...2 manage the journey successfully....u need to be 100% present(and even then it can be a huge challenge)....michael jackson reached the stratosphere....can you imagine the energy that is associated with that level of fame and wealth???

    • @hardren101
      @hardren101 8 лет назад +1

      interesting perspective....Whitney peeked with the bodyguard(as michael did with thriller and prince with purple rain)...madonna had a peek (but damned if i cld tell u the album she peeked with or the year...but i will say this...while michael continued attempting to live up to thriller...madonna just continued to release albums absent of attempting to live up to any xpectations...every entertainer has their window in the entertainment industry....there are some xceptions to this rule(barbara striesand/tony bennett)... this is not guess work...this the norm of the industry....if whitney were still alive today...if her voice sounded anything like it did on her final album...whitney wld be a has been...prior to her death there were videos all over the net related to her tour of how bad she sounded in concert...it wld have made more sense for her to just lip-synch or create pre-recorded tracks to lip sych against.....whitney when at her peek set the bar very very high.....twd the end she was unable to meet that bar....I saw Streisand recently in concert... her voice is no where near what it was in her prime n she knws this and does not even attempt what she wld have 20yrs ago...but she plays to her strengths n not her weakness and the audience gave her a standing ovation...striesand is over 70...if someone showed up xpecting to hear her sounding like she did in her prime....they are a bit delusional....

    I beg to differ! She will always have life even if she loss her first career. She has life as long as she looked to The Father Yah and her Saviour Yahweh Hamashiach! You all are of the world, so you look at things as the world would. All things are possible through Christ Yahweh! So much pressure can overwhelm and kill! Now she's gone home to the Father! 🙏🤗🤗🤗❤🔗🙏🙏

    He is getting too much mileage out of this and it is one long commercial to have Gary Cantona coach you out of all your vocal issues. And look Ma, that is one expensive looking hair color job.
    He has milked this and appointed himself the expert on Whitney's voice. I do not recall her ever mentioning him. I do not think it professional to go talking your clients business after his client passes.
    He wasn't talking when she was alive. she never was moved to give him any props at all. Now expert?
