      The idea is ok to an extent, but that's what killing the country side. No one wants to live with less. But once everyone is creamed into just a handful of larger cities, it will become to expensive. Even as it has already. The US. Contains many large cities and many small ones. The city I've been in for 40 years has near 400,000. People. However they continue to eat up the small people and spit them out, metaphorically

    Finally! I've been looking for a resource with the exact translations. I'm a language educator and have found the methods to teach and learn Korean focus more on memorization rather true acquisition of the language. The exact meaning of the words is important for comprehension and fluency. Thank you.

    In Korean for ‘please’ you wouldn’t really say 제발 unless you sincerely hope for something for example 도와 주세요
    If you want to say something a bit more casual you can say 세요 or 주세요 . I don’t really know if that made sense 😂
    Also I found this video really helpful thank you / 감사합니다

    I’ve been listening to this on my hour commute but my first time actually following along to the screen. I loved the way you break it apart. It’s easy to where one word ends and another begins. I have the basics of sentence structure down so I’m following this to grow my vocabulary and build more sentences. This is awesome!

I can watch it and even listen to it when I take a walk. I am going to say it is perfect. The choices of the sentences are also very practical. Allow me to be a bit greedy. There are some inaccurate phrases in this. For example "good morning, good evening, good night, etc", they are not in use anymore and you should say "hello" instead. There are more phrases in there that I wouldn't really use, and I recommend not trusting everything. Of course, there are a lot of useful phrases too, but the ones that aren't in use make the video less trustworthy. Also, you should be aware that they use formal Korean. For example is 저도 사랑해요 in casual 나도 사랑해.

    • @liveinseoul
      @liveinseoul  Год назад +2

      "맛있어요=delicious" is usually correct. Translated into English, "맛있어요" can mean 'good' or 'delicious'. Usually 'good' is used in a broader sense than 'delicious'. In a restaurant, "뭐가 맛있어요?" is used to ask for food recommendations. If you're getting food recommendations, you haven't tasted the food yet. So I wrote it down as 'good'. I hope the answers are helpful to you.

    DO NOT try to learn all Korean alphabets AT ONCE! Just remember these : ㄱ (between G and K), ㄴ (N), ㅁ (M), ㅅ (between S and Sh) These are the four basic consonants and each of them has one or more derivatives. In time, you will see how the other consonants were derived from those four (ㄱㄴㅁㅅ). But here, just stick to those four, and you will have very little difficulty in reading street signs. Oh, if you still have time to learn more, try 'ㅏ (Ah)' and 'ㅑ (y + Ah = Ya)' If you get used to these, the rest will be super easy.
