@@greatloverofkrishna as the other guy mentioned, it's subjective. I have checked out the designs. It's good, and actually looks like a 3 star Genshin character if it existed. Mainly because most part of their face is forever covered.
But, well, Both Genshin 5 stars (this is almost objective, due to difference in details of the design), and almost the full cast of WuWa (this is subjective) are far better looking than those two.
Where is Bei shi, she has emotional expressions that literally surpass all playable females, like I dont even know how that's possible, honestly I find her much more "alive" than most playable female.
She's the main female NPC in Lingyang quest btw

I remember stumbling into this NPC; I had to stop, take my camera out, swing around all angles and zoom in/ out because I couldn't believe a WuWa NPC should be this attractive.
Heck, I'd even want a Convene banner for her, at this point! She would be non-existent in many Western games nowadays.😅

I am surprised by the design and variety of various NPCs in WuWa, many of them could pass as playable characters. On the other hand, in Genshin all the NPCs look the same, only with slight aesthetic changes, but it is clear that it is something that Hoyoverse did not put enough effort into.

Genshin npcs have 1 old man and woman, 2 male and women faces, and 2 kid faces for boy and girl. I think its two for kids.
Wuwa has 4 different looking old people faces alone.

This is what I like, having various NPC on the lvl of the training hall dude makes expecting new characters a tab bit funnier, I just don't like the straight forward approach that Genshin has of having characters show up and immediately being set for the next banner, or even worse, creating characters that we never saw from previous regions and setting a new banner from the get go (The Geo girl with Katanas), I feel like it loses some of the hype it would have if you didn't expect it.
For example, Imagine seeing a dude in Monstad that you just can't understand how they are not playable, the character have both the design and the position/title in Monstad to be wanted by many players but we leave Monstad and he never became one, then we're in Sumeru and a side story event pops out while the main story is being cooked and lo and behold, the dude everyone wanted is finally playable, the hype is through the roof.
The geo girl with the katanas was actually already mentioned before in Fontaine and by a few Fontaine characters, but yeah they don't really plan things out too well
@@cammigirii I know, but mentioning doesn't gather as much hype as actually seeing them, for example the captain of the knights in Monstad, they could have even make the other two Adepti have cool designs instead of recolored NPC, that way they have them saved for when they want to make a new event in Liyue and make them playable.

As a HSR and Genshin Player, I also approve basically all WuWu NPCs. They already look so different to each other.
The NPCs in WuWa actually look like distinct ppl which I love.

This game has really good 3d face models, Baizhi has one of the best anime face 3d models i hv seen. Genshin Impact may have good designs but their face models are always a little bit off.

That is still the same thing, its not in your face. Genshin did not even try with most of them. There are only a few unique npcs
