Tenor Walter Midgley (with members of the London Symphony Orchestra and organist Geraint Jones all conducted by George Weldon) perform Stephen Adams's "The Holy City" on His Master's Voice record D.B. 21604, played on an EMG Mark Xb Oversize gramophone with a Meltrope III soundbox and a Burmese Colour needle. Recorded October 23, 1952, the same year Queen Elizabeth II began her reign.
