I have been wanting to get a tactical belt for awhile but couldn’t figure out what I wanted. I have watched a dozen videos trying to figure out what I wanted but no one explained it as in depth as you. Because of this video, I bought the Ronin Task Force belt, G-code soft shell mag carriers, safari land holster, and will be buying the Blue Force Gear Micro Trauma Kit when it’s back in stock. Thank you so much, I subscribed.

@@FrontierSetter I’m about to order my belt, just a quick question on sizing. The small fits 30-34” waist and the medium fits 34-38”. If I’m a 34, what size would you reccomend based off your experience?
Really nice belt system there, brotha! Hexmag is a Sentry product. I returned a biatch load of magazines back to them. ( Feed lips spread after being loaded for a bit of time.) Customer service was great. They sent me a full retail credit slip. I took that credit, and bought one of their belt rigs. Very similar set up, to the belt you are showing. Minus the D ring, cuz I ain't that cool. Thanks for the share, FS!!

I’d give a honorable mention to BDS tactical for belts but nice belt and setup you give off a natural and relatable vibe glad I stumbled on your videos
Oooo I haven't heard of them before! I'll have to check em out, they seem to have a good selection of stuff. Thanks for the support Ben! Hoping to get some more content out soon, just gotta get my hands on ammo somehow lol
No problem at all! I had the same questions before I ordered the belt so I'm glad I could help. The clips have held up really good over time, they're honestly harder to take off than to put on lol.
It's pretty spendy but I think it's worth the price. There's a lot of belts like this out there so I'm sure you can find one you like! Does take a lot of customizing though for sure.
Yes, they can accommodate tek-lock. It might squish some of the velcro loops, but I think the locks have enough clearance. The only issue is the tek-locks will cover up the velcro, so if you have them running throughout the whole belt, it might not sit as securely on the inner belt.
Hi...Thanks for the video. In your video the mag pouches seem very secure. Can you tell me if there is any loose play with the scorpion mounts? G code is telling me there will be a considerable amount of “slop” when the R2 and P2 clips are used on the Ronin TF and Senshi.
Great question! The R2 and P2 clips have a little bit of "up and down" motion. I'd say only a 3mm of play. I wouldn't consider it a super tight fit, but I definitely would NOT call it "slop". I think it fits well and I have no issues with taking mags out or putting them in.
For this belt, the 2" works best and comes default with the belt. The 1.5" is great for civilian style pants with smaller loops, but you'll have some of the belt overhang since it doesn't fit exactly, but it is secure with either size you use.
I've heard good things about Ferro Concept's Bison belt and actually referred to it in this video. It actually came out around the same time I was working on this review. I do like the thermoplastic inlay it has and I think the inner belt design is much more thought out, easier to don/doff. Not many reviews on it though, if you have a Bison Belt, do a review on it for everyone lol.
I can't remember a particular brand, I bought it off amazon. Just search "velcro carabiner" and a whole bunch of items will pop-up very similar to the one I have here.
Nice review. Nice setup. Question. So I've been debating on the gcode short or long pistol mag holsters. Can't make up my mind. I've got a m&p 2.0 17rd mag. Use will be for the range/practice shooting. What do you suggest? Would really appreciate it.
I would always go short because the rubbery texture does a great job at holding any kind of mag. And you can cinch it down with the shock cords if you want more retention. The long ones might cause difficultly in getting a good fill grip on the mag. Lemme know if this helps!
I'm generally a 32 in pants, I got the medium belt which is listed as 36"-40". You should be fine with the medium size as well since there is a lot of leeway in the sizing. You would comfortably have an extra 6" in play with the amount of webbing they give you. You can also contact Ronin Tactics (tu@ronintactics.com) for further details.
broski you ever looked at the trex arms dump pouch? I've been running one and I've enjoyed it so far. its not as low profile when rolled up but its still pretty compact compared to some of the big boi ones out there.
I actually haven't looked into their other gear besides their belt and holsters. Interesting dump pouch, the material used seems a bit more heavy duty than the Blue Force Gear one. I'll have to do more research since I think they're both around the same price point too. Thanks for the suggestion!
To be honest, I have no experience with the Blue Alpha belt. I can say for sure the Ronin belts are very well made and are actually battle tested. $50 in my opinion isn't a huge cost difference considering you'll still need to get mag holders and other accessories. The stuff adds up pretty quick unfortunately.
Question about wearing the ronin tactics belt. Do you thread the inner velcro belt through your pants loop? should you or should you not do that? Thanks,
Yes. Threat the inner belt through your belt loops similar to a regular belt for pants and then the outer belt goes over that. It's the main reason why the dual layer belts stay so secure to your body.
@@FrontierSetter likewise :) maybe we'll end up on the same class someday! I definitely feel you on that ammo shortage. His signature Spartan Blades got sold out in like 30 seconds lol
@@FrontierSetter you mean the gold with the Ronin logo burned it it? Those were sick man! I'd just check back every so often, I was a little disappointed to know that TriArc Systems doesn't carry his signature series rifles anymore :(
If you're referring to the G-Code holster yeah, I'd go with a belt loop system so you have a bit more wiggle room with the Warrior Poet EDC belt. I'm personally not a huge fan of outside the waistband stuff for my EDC though, much rather have it all concealed under my shirt. But to each his own!
@@FrontierSetter well yeah I have an IWB holster for my p365 but for my Hk p30L I have an IWB holster for it but it’s too big and uncomfortable I need an OWB holster for my p30L when I do my outside range training courses and stuff
I am 5'6" at 175lbs. My usual pant waist size is 32-34 (I prefer a looser fit to accommodate my handgun). The belt I ordered is a medium. It fits perfectly even thought the rated length for medium is 34-39". There is some room for error, but I would get the larger one to air on the side of caution. What I would do to measure is put in whatever pants youre wearing and tape measure around the belt line. I think this will give you the most accurate measurement for the ronin belt. If you're between sizes, I'd go up.
@@FrontierSetter thank you for your prompt reply! I currently run a sure grip padded belt which is inherently thicker and have to wear a large belt. From what you explained it looks like this is definitely a slimmer profile and I can step down to a medium! Thanks again!
I've run belts like that before and they have benefits of being very easy to don and doff. But now that I've gotten used to low-profile dual layer belts I don't ever see myself going back. I think you'll really like this type of belt! 👍👍👍
Cool review man, I'm actually looking at this belt .contacted ronin as when they'll be back in stock. I like your set up. I'm running a hsgi padded belt .it's OK but I think I want something a bit more stream lined besides say for shits and Giggles mine would be very tough to jump in a car with or sit down because it's too tall .if standing it's OK.
I think you'll like it a lot! I remember any issues I had when I was sitting down with the ronin, however my setup now is smaller since I switched out the ifak for a TQ on my drop leg holster. I think that makes it a lot more comfy.
@@FrontierSetter the TQ may be a better way to go atleast if you're running a carrier on as well. I have an ifak I put together on my carrier that can be ripped off the panel it's molled on. Buy even then that kit is a bit big .so a tq sounds a bit more realistic on the belt Hopefully Ronin will supply their stock soon they told me about two months ago they'd have them in again shortly just sent a follow up today for the all black TF model
The Safelite looks very similar, with a little less features IE no d-ring. I unfortunately have no experience with Safelite so I can't say for certain any distinct pros/cons.
Thank you. I have not taken classes. I do follow some people, Garand Thumb, True Exodus, Trex Arms, so on and so forth. I just try to emulate and read.

No problem! If you have any other questions feel free to ask! I love the belt, I wish I could use it more but we've all been struggling with the ammo lol
Ok awesome I wear the same size but I was a little skeptical of choosing either the small or medium because the small runs from 32-34. I’ll check out the medium. Thanks
It's quite stiff, feels like a dual layer nylon belt. But I wouldn't wear it without the inner layer since the velcro hooks would be quite abrasive on the skin. However, you can wear the dual layer belt like a traditional "over the pants" ALICE-type gun belt if you just set the length a little longer than what you would normally have as your waist width. I hope this helps!
Lmao, I wish it was, then maybe I'd have half the skills as Tu. These two layer belts are far better than the other type. Actually holds your gear and doesn't move around. If you're looking to get a setup, definitely look into these kinds.
I bought the medium size. For reference I am 5'6" @ 175 lbs. My usual pants size is 32-34 waist (I prefer a looser waist line to accommodate for holsters), so I'm at the lower end of the medium range which is supposed to be for 34-39". I am glad I got the medium one. There is some wiggle room but I think it's better to go a little bigger than too small. I measured my waist line with pants on and where the gun belt would be on the pants themselves, I think this gives the most accurate length.
5:27 hey man so why close the slide with the slide release when you clear your gun but slingshot on reloads? also im considering getting a senshi. ive got an orion and i use a nova belt as my edc belt so having two rigid belts with cobra buckles one on top of another tends to get really dorked up and uncomfortable. edit: if you haven't gotten a new medical kit yet i'd check out the trex arms med1. just bought one earlier this week.
I have no real explaination, I just do whatever feels most natural. My edc belt is the carbon tactics epoch belt, it's simple and thin. The Ronin is really just my range belt or duty belt, whatever you wanna call it. I rarely use it otherwise. I can imagine two cobra buckles being pretty annoying lol.
I got about 3 full ifaks right now. I just put on a TQ holder, my leatherman mut, and that blueforce gear micro dump pouch. The rest of my kits are on my chest rig, go-bag (always in my truck), and also my range bag. Kind of wanted to go a little minimal now with this belt. But the med1 does look promising, thank you for the suggestion!
hey i know this isn't in scope with this video but since your the only person i know with hk stuff. i figured you'd maybe used it once and was wondering if you could help, recently i was looking to buy some parts from HKparts.net for my UMP 45 build as my 1st HK type firearm and was wondering if they're g2g or if it's a site where you should order using a pre-paid rechargeable burner CC, i've heard they have issues with CC's info getting stolen and people getting hit with false charges after they order something from there.
I personally have ordered multiple times from HKparts without issues. Congrats on the UMP45, that's a slick gun for sure. I say order away, just keep an eye on any weird charges. As long as you use a CC you're good to go.
I actually have an older video about my thoughts on G-Code holsters here: ruclips.net/video/aoSIVHBb3sE/видео.html It's not the most up to date but my thoughts have stayed relatively unchanged. G-Code is still the only holster I endorse. Their fuzzy outside covering as well as their injection molded plastic is unmatched. The only thing I suggest is for people to replace the default Haley clip to a Raven Concealment Overhook clip.

Yes, I would consider the highest in terms of features. The other belts are similar and have different color variants, but the Task Force belt seems to be the best, at least for now on their product roster.
Lol I wish they made an inbetween size. I know other glove companies do. I got a good suggestion from a friend recently to check out "The Gun Glove". They have super specific sizing, almost tailor fit gloves. I haven't used them yet but it might be worth checking out!

I want to get the belt but how do you measure the waist sizes I'm sizes 34 in pants
I'm generally a 32 in pants, I got the medium belt which is listed as 36"-40". You should be fine with the medium size as well since there is a lot of leeway in the sizing. You would comfortably have an extra 6" in play with the amount of webbing they give you. You can also contact Ronin Tactics (tu@ronintactics.com) for further details.
wow i can't believe I'm seeing a reference to something as obscure as Oni
It's one of my favorite games lol. I wish there was a modern remaster or remake. But I gotta say the original still plays well
@@FrontierSetter the fan-made anniversary edition is great, in case you've somehow never heard of that
broski you ever looked at the trex arms dump pouch? I've been running one and I've enjoyed it so far. its not as low profile when rolled up but its still pretty compact compared to some of the big boi ones out there.
I actually haven't looked into their other gear besides their belt and holsters. Interesting dump pouch, the material used seems a bit more heavy duty than the Blue Force Gear one. I'll have to do more research since I think they're both around the same price point too. Thanks for the suggestion!
I may have missed it. What are your pistol pouches?
They are the scorpion soft shell mag holders by g-code. mine are in the short configuration for pistols.
Blue Alpha has similar belts, do you happen to know the differences? Is Ronin's belts more rigid? Blue Alpha is like $50 less.
@@FrontierSetter TY
No prob bro!
For sure man! I wanna train with him so bad, maybe when this whole ammo and COVID crisis gets better.
@@FrontierSetter likewise :) maybe we'll end up on the same class someday! I definitely feel you on that ammo shortage. His signature Spartan Blades got sold out in like 30 seconds lol
That would be sick! Oh yeah, all his signature stuff gets sold out so fast. I really wanted one of his AR15 BCGs.
@@FrontierSetter you mean the gold with the Ronin logo burned it it? Those were sick man! I'd just check back every so often, I was a little disappointed to know that TriArc Systems doesn't carry his signature series rifles anymore :(
That's the one! Ugh I know.... They make some pretty gucci stuff.
Good job on the vid!
Thanks Edberto!
What’s the difference between the two inner belts you have?
One is wider than the other. The ryu belt fits standard sized belt loops (1.5") while the default inner belt is for larger 1.75" loops.
How's your relationship with Glock so far?
Emotionally abusive.
@@FrontierSetter same
I laugh to hide the pain
Looks like the glock is running well!
I honestly haven't tested it since the summer lol. I sold it recently 🤐
For the soft shell mag carriers what mounting device to you get for a warrior poet edc belt
I guess a belt loop?
If you're referring to the G-Code holster yeah, I'd go with a belt loop system so you have a bit more wiggle room with the Warrior Poet EDC belt. I'm personally not a huge fan of outside the waistband stuff for my EDC though, much rather have it all concealed under my shirt. But to each his own!
@@FrontierSetter well yeah I have an IWB holster for my p365 but for my Hk p30L I have an IWB holster for it but it’s too big and uncomfortable
I need an OWB holster for my p30L when I do my outside range training courses and stuff
Oooo makes sense. I'd look into safariland for the P30L, I have a few of their holster now, super slick!
Lookin at the ronin belt now. I’m a waist size 33 which is in between small and medium. What do you use/recommend
I have almost the same measurements. I highly suggest getting the medium as it fits me perfectly.
@@FrontierSetter thanks for the timely reply 🤙🏽
@@connor4637 no problem at all!
Just as reference, what size waist (pant size) do you wear and what size belt did you order?
Agreed, moving the IFAK over to my chest rig was much better. I hope you like the belt as much as I do!
How is it compared to the safelife molle belt?
The Safelite looks very similar, with a little less features IE no d-ring. I unfortunately have no experience with Safelite so I can't say for certain any distinct pros/cons.
I ordered a ronin senshi a few days back and it'll be my first gun belt. I hope it's cool
I think you'll like it a ton! What color did you get?
@@FrontierSetter multicam. If they had the senshi in m81 woodland I would've been all over that.
Ahhh yes very classic!
You have really good skill. Have you taken any classes or do you do what I do read & watch then practice?
Thank you. I have not taken classes. I do follow some people, Garand Thumb, True Exodus, Trex Arms, so on and so forth. I just try to emulate and read.

Ah yes! I also follow ASP and Fight Tips. Man, I remember Shane Fazen when his channel was all about street fighting tips and such. Good times lol. I haven't heard of Brent though, I'll have to check him out
someone once asked me "Why do you watch this guys channel you don't even own guns?" I replied "Who the fuck are you and why are you in my house?"

What size did you get? And would you recommend going up a size or do you find it to be true to size?
I got a medium sized belt. My pants hip length range from 32"-34", I'm also 5'6" around 170lbs. I find the size to be comfortable.
@@FrontierSetter awesome thank you! Im around the same size too so im going to go with the medium whenever they come back in stock haha
No problem! If you have any other questions feel free to ask! I love the belt, I wish I could use it more but we've all been struggling with the ammo lol
@@FrontierSetter true that haha
Thank you again!
Np! Happy training!!!
What size is your waist and what size did you get for this belt?
I wear 32-34" pants. I bought medium. Fits me well.
Ok awesome I wear the same size but I was a little skeptical of choosing either the small or medium because the small runs from 32-34. I’ll check out the medium. Thanks
No problem at all. I had the same issue at first, but I'm glad I picked medium. Absolutely no complaints with fit.
Would you consider this belt good for a everyday duty belt?
Oh yes, it's comfortable and will serve you well as an everyday duty belt.
@@FrontierSetter Perfect thank you! Great vid!
No problem! I'm sure you'll love the belt!
How stiff is the belt itself without the inner belt
It's quite stiff, feels like a dual layer nylon belt. But I wouldn't wear it without the inner layer since the velcro hooks would be quite abrasive on the skin. However, you can wear the dual layer belt like a traditional "over the pants" ALICE-type gun belt if you just set the length a little longer than what you would normally have as your waist width. I hope this helps!
I don't know if I'm ready to give up my electrical cord belt. I've had it for practically for ever.
this reminds me of when i used to skate and we'd use shoelaces for belts lol
The more he shoots the Glock. The more he will learn to love the Glock. lol
Ngl, I'm already planning on selling it lol
It won't be hard to flip for at least $1k. Some Glock fanboi will pay it up lol
0-$nap!!

Yes broooo 💧💦🌊🌊 I gotta do plate carrier next lol
Best thing about being dummy thicc is you have more belt real estate for mounting all the mag pouches and accessories.
its true, the THICCer you are, the more PALS you have lol
@@FrontierSetter Ha! I see what you did there.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Gasp*. Is your last name Lam? Jkjk. But, how does it compare to your other belt rig? Do you like it?
Lmao, I wish it was, then maybe I'd have half the skills as Tu. These two layer belts are far better than the other type. Actually holds your gear and doesn't move around. If you're looking to get a setup, definitely look into these kinds.
What size did u get? Any tips in sizing ?
I bought the medium size. For reference I am 5'6" @ 175 lbs. My usual pants size is 32-34 waist (I prefer a looser waist line to accommodate for holsters), so I'm at the lower end of the medium range which is supposed to be for 34-39". I am glad I got the medium one. There is some wiggle room but I think it's better to go a little bigger than too small. I measured my waist line with pants on and where the gun belt would be on the pants themselves, I think this gives the most accurate length.
Thks dude this info is perfect. Ur build is similar to mine
Oh perfect! You should have no issues with the medium. They give a lot of room for error so I'm sure it'll fit you!
Goddamn got me thinkin bout that leatherman
The MUT is super nice but I don't use it as much as my skeletool CX. I did put it on my belt after I shot the video though!
@@FrontierSetter its cool how its geared towards guns though
Yeah man, I might do a review on it if I put more use on it. It's well thought-out
@@FrontierSetter you should, im heavily considering spending money on it
hey i know this isn't in scope with this video but since your the only person i know with hk stuff. i figured you'd maybe used it once and was wondering if you could help, recently i was looking to buy some parts from HKparts.net for my UMP 45 build as my 1st HK type firearm and was wondering if they're g2g or if it's a site where you should order using a pre-paid rechargeable burner CC, i've heard they have issues with CC's info getting stolen and people getting hit with false charges after they order something from there.
I personally have ordered multiple times from HKparts without issues. Congrats on the UMP45, that's a slick gun for sure. I say order away, just keep an eye on any weird charges. As long as you use a CC you're good to go.
@@FrontierSetter nice and thanks, so far the only place that has any mags for the dang thing lol now just gotta hunt down ammo XD again thanks.

G-Code Glock 19 review soon!?
I actually have an older video about my thoughts on G-Code holsters here: ruclips.net/video/aoSIVHBb3sE/видео.html It's not the most up to date but my thoughts have stayed relatively unchanged. G-Code is still the only holster I endorse. Their fuzzy outside covering as well as their injection molded plastic is unmatched. The only thing I suggest is for people to replace the default Haley clip to a Raven Concealment Overhook clip.
Oh I’ve seen them! You make great videos man I thoroughly enjoy them. You actually convinced me to purchase multiple HK handguns lol 🤣 now I’m a Glock fanboy that owns a USPc and P30sk.
Oh man I'm glad you like my content! I'm like the opposite, HK fanboy now owns a Glock lol. There's still a lot of stuff I want to do with mine, I just gotta be careful not to mall ninja it too much hahaha
Definitely a great move with the Safariland holster! Ronin is the man too. If you didn’t know already Leupold gives huuuuge discounts online for 1st responders/medical personnel. Might have a tasty optic for that G19
Bro, I actually had no idea lmao. Thanks for the huge tip! The only pistol optic I have right now is a Trijicon RMR 06 but it's a type 1 😬
Is this ronin's top teir belt
Yes, I would consider the highest in terms of features. The other belts are similar and have different color variants, but the Task Force belt seems to be the best, at least for now on their product roster.
