SO interesting. I stopped watching within 5 min. because this seemed so fake! This is the 'old', controlled La Toya (this is just my perspective). I even sensed a certain dis-pleasure on La Toya's face when Donahue was praising the family, saying 'nobody' in the family is addicted to drugs (oh please) and how the parents did such a good job. I could see that she so badly wanted to speak honestly, which she would soon in her book, but felt she couldn't at that time. Did you feel the same?
I think that this is, in my opinion, a fairly decent interview. I think there are embellished parts of course. But at the same time what she has shared has been shared by Janet and Michael in similar interviews. Nothing in this one really raises any red flags to me. Not a fan of the dress or the snake, but I think its fairly decent overall.
No one was addicted to recreational drugs.. MJ was the only one who needed medication because of health issues which he became dependent on briefly.. the other brothers never had that problem
Hate the way they think its fine to beat kids so long as they dont go on to take drugs. Its often being beat that makes people take drugs. Michael took drugs in a sub type of legal way. Even that wasnt straight foreward and according to court transcripts was drunk 3 times a week.
yeah i thought the same thing - Michael literally died of drugs and it already began to be a problem by 1990. Michael was sloshed in literally the complete bashir interview series and also for his last filmed concert at madison square garden. he could barely WALK and complete a full sentence while walking into the concert.
