Though LaToya is mistaken, misguided or misinformed about certain things, she is absolutely telling the truth as she saw and understood it then. All she wanted was to heal the abuse in her family, coming from an abusive family myself I can relate. People need to have compassion for the surviving Jacksons. They have survived a ton of abuse not just within the family, but from the world as well. I feel Michael spent time with children because he felt SAFE with them. They were his safe place. LaToya may be mistaken about there being sexual abuse because none of the accusers stories about the abuse itself add up so he may or may not have been a P*do. But I feel like creating a fantasy childhood was like creating a safe space for himself which he could share with other safe people like children and animals.

Just because he collaborated with Priscilla Presley about "love at first sight," who was around eight the first time they met...I do think from all I know and from my personal experience as a child victim (not related to MJ), that may be at different times due to his background and due to exposure to the industry and his early exposure to seedy sexuality during the initial performing....that at some point in Michaels life maybe not at the later ends...he did have sexual impropriety with people who it would have been entirely inappropriate to have any sexuality with and I think at some point he realized that and it hurt him very badly to know what that time in his life had meant because he did not mean to hurt anyone. Still, I believe the truth of Michael and these allegations are somewhere in the middle of the slander and rumors and what I am expressing that many others, including his very own sister, said.

I feel she is mistaken about MJ being an abuser and she did completely retract later saying she was manipulated by Gordon but it seems she is saying what she believed at the time (maybe because of Gordon’s manipulation & for self interest, only she knows), though it turned out she was wrong about a lot of things. She thought MJ was lying about his vitiligo, but he wasn’t. She had her own agenda for self promotion back then, so she saw things as it suited her. She told the truth about a lot of the abuse, but also fabricated & embellished it a lot to make it more scandalous & attention grabbing. Jack Gordon exploited her naïveté. مستر لواحظ
This is horrifying to watch. Geraldo, Jack, and the audience are deplorable and La Toya handled their bullying and harassment better than she should ever have to. I hope she has found some peace.

this is one of the most atrocious things ive ever seen. the host was obviously very demeaning to her, asking unwarranted question under the guise of advocating for child abuse prevention, and invited the crowd to berate her. disgusting to a person just trying to speak the truth and get her dysfunctional family help.
What's disgusting is that you believe these lies and apparently have no real idea that she was being abused at the time and forced to say these lies. She is not advocating for child abuse prevention because there was no actual child being abused. She was in fact he abused and later escaped her abuser and told her real truth.
@@GalaxyNexus1 Regardless of whether Latoya told the truth of the situation or not, you should not treat anyone with abuse allegations the way the host did. You are perpetuating a narrative that silences victims. It is no secret the Jackson patriarch treated his children badly, so I don't think sexual abuse was out of the realm of possibility. No one is in the position to discount Latoya's narrative they were not there, not to mention the fact sexual abuse is one of the hardest things to prove in court. I think it's important to listen to Latoya's story even if she revoked it later. To say the least, there are many dynamics at play when you are abused by a family member.

Geraldo was correct in knowing she was lying and he was not obligated to pretend as if he believed her, since he did not. She was being beaten and strongarmed and attempting to cover it up and needed and deserved pushback. As for your claim of no one being there, an entire family of brothers sister, and 2 parents were actually there and actually disputes her claims.
@@GalaxyNexus1 I agree that that narrative is BS, however there is a difference between showing support vs taking action against the abuse allegations. There is very little I can do, that is up to the court if the victim decides to pursue that route, but there is value in simply showing support if anyone does come out with abuse allegations. Many times, initial disclosure reactions of sexual abuse allegations is the deciding factor for PTSD development after trauma, so I simply wish to avoid this PTSD development by supporting anyone who tells me they have been abused. It does not even matter if I believe what she said. But if there is a chance she was sexually abused, then I'm glad my reaction may have helped her and avoided the very hellish world people with PTSD experience. As outsiders looking in, there is very little both of us know the truth about. I'm not here to argue with you over what happened. To do so would be nonsensical because I was not there, just the same as you weren't. You can believe what you want. I criticize the host's hyperfocus on exploiting the situation for monetary gains.That is not a good example of how to handle abuse.
@@user-bj8wb1rb7q the bottom line is at the time La Toya was on a media tour with her abusive husband and was widely found to not be credible. She named many names, and ALL the people she named said she was lying. There was also evidence that she was being abused by her husband, yet she denied it, and again, the people who knew her spoke on it. Every situation is unique and there are many factors involved in this one. I was not there, you were not there, but everyone she mentioned was there and said she was lying. I didn't fall for it, and turns out I was right, as the truth eventually came out and she admitted to lying. Additionally, she did many interviews and her stories were inconsistent, contained provable lies like her placing Michael with children he hadn't even met yet, and her stories changing from her basically saying actually nothing when really pressed, to them growing to her basically having 1at hand knowledge and seeing everything. With each interview the stories grew bigger. And one interviewer caught her husband feeding lines to her in an earpiece and busted her and she ran off set. After witnessing all of those things, I didn't even need everyone else to tell me she was lying, I could see it with my own eyes and common sense.

She till this day regrets the harm she did with these lies she was being forced to say. La Toya told the truth about how she felt in a European interview before this, then Jack disagreed in that same interview, said EXACTLY what she's saying here and after that she started repeating the same ignorant fear mongering. She was FORCED to likely because Jack told her not going against Michael would be bad for her career.

Seriously?!? Most childhood abuse victims end up in repeated abusive relationships because of low self worth and familiarity. This is basic psychology. I suffered severe childhood abuse, and guess what? Every single man I was with up until my last was severely abusive until I went to counseling and figured out why I was attracting/attracted to these types of men. The answer was simple….I came from an abusive family system. However, it took years of hard work within myself to change how I viewed myself from my warped perceptions due to what my abusers put into my head, and when I finally put the pieces together, I was able to let in the most kind, loving man in the world, my husband.

You need to actually do more research. She was not cast out, not was she speaking about anything she knew. Thank you at last someone with common sense, I've heard her talk about this in different interviews and she says the same thing, I think she was very brave. Everyone says she did it for money, she knew a lot about Michael they spent a lot of time together, and he knew she knew too much. Yes, she took it back, because she signed a contract to never say anything bad against michael or her father.. she admited in an other interview that they wanted her to sign this. I believe after beeing very lonely having such an abusive husband and no good connections to her family, she chose that going back to the family and signing the contract is the safer way for her! I hate to admit but I’ve always believed La Toya Jackson. Michael Jackson and his siblings were clearly victims of child abuse. They were told to act like the perfect black family on camera, but as they all got older they could no longer maintain that facade. Their demons were catching up to them and it wasn’t getting better as MJ was the biggest star in the world and was constantly targeted by the media. Basically it was just an entirely toxic situation. The family couldn’t trust each other because of their traumatic past, they couldn’t trust regular people because they were so famous, and they couldn’t trust the media because they would use them for money in whatever way.. No wonder they all grew up mentally fucked. MJ abusing kids is hard to come to terms with but the abused usually become the abusers.
Of course, you believe it. It’s salacious. What if it’s not true. LaToya had them on her show on Oprah acting like she didn’t lie on them for money. She keeps apologizing on INSTAGRAM. Fk her.
For those of you who don’t know, years later Latoya denounced all of the allegations she made against her parents and Michael and admitted that she was forced to lie by her husband. He had beaten her constantly, forcing her to do things like pose for playboy. The second playboy shoot she did she had to wait for her wounds to heal. Her husband threatened to kill Michael and Janet if she didn’t lie convincingly. Eventually, she got her brother Randy to rescue her and they welcomed her back into the family. All of this information I’m saying came from interviews she did that you can find on RUclips. Unfortunately, the damage has been done with videos like this existing , especially because in between her lies are half truths taken out of context. Once again, she renounces all of these previous allegations.

@@heinzhillenhagen4704 she’s done many interviews about it. Look up her interview with Barbara Walters I think it was. Also, look up her show “Life with Latoya” where she and Joseph have many heartfelt moments together. She even defended him when she was interviewed by Wendy Williams, who had made fun of him. Most people don’t know that Michael and Janet made amends with Joseph. Janet even had a photo them together in her video No Sleeep. Michael made a speech about it. No one has to like Joseph, but please don’t let it be because of videos like this.

It's also possible that later in life she decided it was easier if she denounced what she said about her family as lies, and to pin it all on her abusive husband. Feelings about abuse-victim relationships in families are often very conflicting, especially if the abuser is close, like a parent. The Jacksons seem to be a very insular family and I imagine its hard to escape with all that fame. So maybe she has had to make peace with what's happened and, given how Michael was spiraling out, was doing damage control to take the stress off him. Probably other reasons too. Let's not forget that Joe Jackson was highly abusive, and many have admitted it, not just La Toya.

If you know enough about Janet, you will know she would not stand for Joseph sexually abusing her sisters. They eventually all made amends with him. If you watch the interviews she did with Jack Gordon, if you watch the clips from her show Life with Latoya, it would not surprise me if she was sexually assaulted by Jack. We all have assumptions, but no one can say for sure. I think there are 2 options.
1. Everything LaToya says is true and Michael is guilty.
2. He was misunderstood even by his siblings and even his mother doubted him which broke him. All his friends say he was very generous (including Chris Tucker). So if the Safechucks needed money, Michael would have given it. Doesn't necessarily have to be bribery.

My personal opinion by observing her interviews from back in these days, I feel she was telling the truth solely when it pertained to Katherine & Josephs abuse and what took place within the confines of the home they grew up in. I genuinely do not think she was lying at all about that actually. (Michael himself also confirmed she wasn't lying in the Glenda tapes) mind you, the book was written in 1991 way before the allegations came out. I believe she was lying when it came to siding with Michael alleged abusers though. She was estranged from the family while she was with him and even Janet said she cut La Toya off completely because she couldn't understand how La Toya could make up those lies and La Toya reached out to her at that time to meet up, and of course Janet wanted to have a face to face talk with her sister, but Janet became furious when she quickly found out La Toya was actually wearing a wire and trying to secretly record Janet just trying to get dirt on Janet to sell to the tabloids. Janet cursed her out and that was the last they spoke for years until thank God, LaToya eventually finally escaped that man and her family swooped in and brought her back in.
