Most impressive scalp in Mark's resume, is Gary Russel Jr. Such a difficult style to deal with but Mark got the W. Avelar was no pushover but at this stage, you'd expect Mark to overcome this style. Excellent timing and a win that raises his stock.

@@deboldsinas6415 That is true but as professional, elite athletes, their training camps are expected to be responsible for their preparations pre-fight. IF the ijury was truly significant, they would have put the fight off with an early annoucement. But they didn't---- which means Gary went in knowing he'll still win against Mark. But of course, if Russel won, we wouldn't even get to know about this injury in the first place. He knew the risks. It doesn't take away anything from Mark's win.
