- Compilation of Jennifer Saunders' bits from Dawn French's "Girls Who Do Comedy". Unfortunately, wasn't as much footage as I would have liked, but what there is is marvellous.
I could watch them blether all day. A true comical and wonderful friendship :)
You can tell that Dawn and Jen are such good friends when Dawn is reading the questions and saying "see none of these really apply to you..." haha

I can tell those two women love each-other very much---they get such a kick out of being together! Oh, to have such a jolly friendship would be a dream come true---and they have it. They may have broken up professionally, but I hope not personally, cause there is something so special about their free and easy relationship that we all would be lucky to have.

I absolutely love French and Saunders together they are hilarious and I wish that kind of comedy was still around. Its like ab fab i love that show its just brilliant as is vicar of dibley and only fools and horses... This is the comedy that should be around. But with French and Saunders as Jennifer Saunders has said she was shy at first and to be honest I think that made her grow and made her humor even more brilliant with Dawn French being louder then Jennifer it really worked. Wish it was still around :'( but from what they made and are still making in different things it is still a real gift from them to me and I thank them so much for bring the tears of laughter back to me I really needed a good laugh and they bring it out of me x
Isabella Santangelo agree I love Ab Fab I did not know about French and Saunders until this year actually Jen claims to be very shy I guess Dawn brought her out of her shell lucky for all of us we got to expierience Jennifer I so adore her and admire her commitment to her work and to her friends she is a wonderful woman.

I just know they do---or, did when they were comedy partners, at least. And, by golly, you need look no further than some of the old F&S skits to know immediately how close and comfortable they must be around each-other. Cause some of those skits are so raunchy and raw--that one would have to have a whole lot of trust and a strong bond not to feel like a patient during a gynecological exam while doing them.

I must say I'm very impressed with Jennifer Saunders' writing for AbFab--many times she wrote it "on the fly" and the cast didn't get the script until the day of filming. It shows in one blooper where Joanna Lumley forgets her lines. Jennifer laughs and tells the audience, "Well, I just gave her the script this morning!"
I think Jen is the mastermind.

@BethanyRose211 Swedish poet Tomas Tranströmer got the Nobel Prize of literature 2011. He is known for his amazing metaphors! (Jen seems to spontaneously have made up a metaphor that sounds very tranströmerish. Pretty awesome.)
This is the only time I've seen Jen asked about her father and she didn't answer the question!!!

i am a professional procrastinator, i have never amounted to shit and i'm okay with that, most famous people in the entertainment world are freaks with an insatiable appetite for being the center of attention... i don't think jennifer is like that, she's an admitted procrastinator... every weekend i say i'm going to do this and do that, but I never do anything, only until it becomes unavoidable do i address an issue. procrastinators have an active mind that must be fed, i have several fantasies and day dreams that need constant attention, there's the famous baseball player, the filthy rich twenty something with a brothel of underage girls on a caribbean island, there's the anarchist who takes on several characters, the politician, the environmentalist who fights evil polluters, and the hit man who takes out corrupt capitalists and government agents, and there's the philanthropist who hires people to wreck greedy corporations and billionaire bank accounts... and several other less active characters. you see, procrastinators have too much going on to bother with the mundane.

Jenn's natural shyness may indicate a humble sweetness in her, true. But, I must admit that I find her shyness a bit off-putting, only because I worry that it may mean that she is not really funny in real life. And, considering how great she is at being funny on the screen, that would be tragic! Especially to any fan that may want to meet her.
