    This movie has supposedly the most scientific errors*, but you feel that the actors had fun taking part in it.
    So if you’re relaxed about the science, I recommend it just for the fun of it.
    .
    * In a poll of hundreds of scientists about bad science fiction films, The Core was voted the worst.

      Funny since 90% of the science about what would happen if the magnetosphere was lost is true. I know the core would in no way in a planet the size of the Earth would stop spinning or become solid. But we would die without a Magnetosphere. The atmosphere would be blown off the earth and the sun would kill all life on the planet. It is also why we will never be able to terraform Mars in any way. There is no way to melt Mars's solid core or make it spin. So no way to protect an atmosphere that you might make on Mars from being stripped away by solar winds.

    It's a guilty pleasure for me, though the sacrifices were a little too in your face, they felt forced to give the story some depth.

      the depth made up for the bs physics and science behind the movie plain and simple

      @@maelradec6766 nope. Even the deepest part of the ocean is nothing compared to core or heck, even mantle.

    • @Yngvarfo
      @Yngvarfo 3 месяца назад +1

      @@maelradec6766- The Titanic is at a depth of 3,800 meters. The Earth's core is 6,370,000 meters down, almost 2,000 times deeper. That's pretty *not* close at all.
      I think the writers' use of the name "unobtainium" was a tongue in cheek way to tell the audience that they know perfectly well that the science in this movie makes no sense at all.
