Ahh a video got recommended to me and I was reminded of your translations! You introduced me to kinoko teikou which ended up being one of my favorite bands. I knew of souteseiriron, but I wasnt too familiar with their music, but your translations helped me realized how much I love them. I understand how these videos take time to make, I especially admire the atmosphere you create with small but impactful details and the care you do with the editing and style, but can I ask for some music recommendations? I'm curious if you still listen to these bands and even listen to more artists with similar sounds. Ah this comment ended up being a little longer then I expected but I hope you dont mind.
I know this reply is 10 months late but as far as music similar to this goes the first thing that comes to mind is art-school and oisicle melonpan, I'm surprised I never made a translation video of any of their music cause I feel like it would fit in here! also, a few other japanese bands/artists I really like aree daoko, eve, toe and mi_yuu (i'm not sure if he goes by another name but that's his youtube lol) other than those weirdly enough I mostly listen to indie and 80's alt music but that's drastically different haha I really appreciate your comment by the way, I hope I can make more translations one day, it makes me happy to know people really enjoyed them.
again sorry late reply but i too was introduced to kinoko whom are now my favorite band along with being a fan of soutaisei. I recently came across a band called Itsue (disbanded sadly) and they are quite similar to kinoko. Also School food punishment is a great band please check them out!
One day I'll get back into it I think, but along with having a job now, I also have the issue of losing all of my old work-in-progress translations since my old computer died on me, hopefully I can muster up enough motivation to start doing this again ;u;
It's mostly cause I got a job!! I have some translations I wanna finish but haven't had much time / motivation since I started working I really wanna start up again though translating/making these videos makes me happy
