Thanks Josh! Glad you enjoyed it. A great resource for flamenco history is www.Flamencopolis.com by Faustino Núñez. He was one of my musicology professors in grad school.
Coming from classical guitar I am trying to learn Barrio la vina by Paco, could you advise me a sheet music of this piece that explains the appropriate techniques?
The best transcription I’ve seen is the one by Jorge Berges (which is hard to find), but honestly I haven’t looked for Flamenco sheet music in years. there may be more and better options available today. I haven’t looked because I usually just transcribe (by ear) the pieces that I want to learn.
So great to see a guitar lesson where the counting is explicitly highlighted. Much appreciated!
Great job with the history and playing.
Thanks Dan!!
Wow, this was thoroughly researched 🧐! Interesting info, I haven't really researched flamenco before, but this peaked my interest.

¡Olé! I've heard some of those alternate accent patterns, but had never seen them discussed. I thought I was counting wrong hahahaha
Amazing material! Thank You!
Thank you Alexander!
Great video Diego! Might have to do an Alegrias for my next piece. 😄
Thanks Matt! Let’s do it!
