I flew a VW conversion 14 years . Never failed me . Krs are for flying fun. Spins ,aerobatics and just zooming around and they have light stick forces . Great airplanes .
Yes, indeed! I love the sportiveness of this amazing piece of art! I´ve never done any aerobatics with her, but we´re always zooming around and enjoying flying far from home... The VW engine I´m running operates smoothly and has enough power to place a 125kt on cruise.
@@LSIFLYER Careful with aerobatics though. I split S 'ed out of a roll and hit 200 kts on a 3 or 4 g pull out before I realized i was still at cruise power. Always climb to at least 5000' Ft at least . I preferred 8000 ft . That little plane is very responsive and that gets you out of a lot of trouble and its a strong thing. My ailerons were balanced and had no vibrations at 200kt. I loved it .
Looks great, I fly behind a Subaru EA81 engine on my aircraft, goes well and very economical. Suggestion, you could paint your dash a dark colour to make it easier to see the gauges and reduce glare inside the cockpit, works for me.
Hi there Martin, thanks for your kindness! 1500ft is a bit short for this KR, hence its powered by a simple Volkswagen engine (80hp). I usually operate with 2500ft long runways at sealevel or at least 3000ft long above 2000ft altitude. Its possible to operate on a 1500ft runway with a certain safety, but there will be a tiny space for errors.
Your engine is an 80 HP VW 2300, my project calls for a 100 HP, it is true that it also flies with an 80 HP, but finding a good engine is not so easy with us
Hello, I'm walter from Italy, I'm starting the construction of the KRsuoer2 I would like to get in touch with you who already have a completed aircraft to ask for information,
Hi there Martin! My final speed is around 65 and the touch down is about 58. I try to mantain around 80 to 70 during the circuit. My KR is very sleek and the original flaps are not very good to reduce speed on final, so thats why the short final speed is close to touch down speed. I cant come in a steep angle final without slipping or skidding. If I do so, I normally mantain 70.
Virabrequim forjado SUSIN. Pistões Mahle. Escapamento 4x1 da Greatplains. Carburador ZENITH, alimentação por gravidade.
Beautiful example of a KR build. Love the belly cam.
Thank you very much!!

@@charleswesley9907 Oh gosh! Shes very slippery indeed... I´ll take care, thanks for the advise.
You are a high-skilled pilot ... a fine example to us all.
Oh gosh, thank you Chis! Youre very kind...
Muito bom Gil, belas imagens, para um FUMACEIRO, falta um gerador de fumaça na Lady. 🤟
Rsrsrs seria legal né...
Muito bom, Gil. Só manteigando...
A Lady pousa sozinha praticamente kkkk
Very inspiring 🥂
Cheers mate!
Parabens! Bonito aviao e bem feito 👍
Muito obrigado

Thats a good idea!
Looking at your aircraft I noticed some better differences than my design, regarding the main landing gear made of flat material instead of tube
Sorry for the delay... My main landing gears are aluminum bars.
I have more questions but I would prefer to send an email and add some photographs to avoid trivial construction errors

Beautiful plane!
LSPV my home base has a 1500ft runway. Would this be sufficient? What engine do you use?

Thats true... Maybe Corvair would suit your project.
Cmte, qual APP que vc usou pra fazer está gravação? Ficou show demais

Your final speed is very close to touch down speed. Is this a special long field technic? Please explain.

Ok, good to know that. I have to consider this for my new sleek design as well. Maybe an belly airbrake like a Very Ezy..
@@tinolino58 I regret not installing a belly board... Its very effective indeed. Maybe one day I will.
So do you recommend modifying the flaps to have more surface area and reduce speed, perhaps install a glider-type airbrake?
@@walterpaleni7484 not realy! I asked to beceause I design a fat single seat taildrager and my homebase has 1500ft runway.
