This was a great haul! Even if it's a 1.8, it's a Frazetta. And the "artwork" on the back gives the book some added character. I'm in awe of the Purple Rain Batgirl cover! Never knew that existed! (Also, if you swap "Batgirl" for "Purple" when you sing it, it's the same amount of syllables and kinda works. 🎼🎶Bat-girl Rain, Bat-girl raaaaaain!🎵 Also, I had to pause this video midway through to read about Matt Baker. Fascinating life story and gorgeous artwork! Always dig the historical tidbits sprinkled in these videos! Thanks, Professor!
That's a nice set of books. That Avengers #57 is still on my list as are some Golden Age books. Always appreciate my fellow collectors' passion for comics. Especially when so much of the RUclips space is about their value and spec. Happy comic hunting!
I noticed that shark Donald Duck cover in an auction a little while ago, I wonder if it was the same copy! It reminded me of my buddy Dylan, he's into shark stuff. Love that Famous Funnies, congrats on that one especially!
They had another one up for auction recently that was like a 9.2 or something, and it went for a shit ton of money. My 6.5 was pretty cheap, but I love it.
Thank you! I definitely like how thin and light the cases are for CBCS. I hate that there is a bias against them, but at the same time, it's enabled me to get some books much cheaper because they weren't CGC.
Interestingly enough the original plural of Octopus was Octopods as it is of Greek origin. Some nice books there especially the Famous Funnies (it got it's name because originally it contained reprints from newspaper comic strips). I especially like the Airboy with the Dave Stevens cover. I am closing in on getting all of his work, it's not easy nor is it cheap!
Great stuff, I love it! One of my favorite reasons for doing this silly channel, I love learning stuff. I had avoided the Dan Stevens bug until I saw that Airboy. Now I just need to get that Jonny Quest issue with Jade on the cover. OH, and maybe the SOTI as well.......dammit!
I didn't know you were into Gay comics?! 😅 In case you didn't know, Jim at Bronzville collects golden age comics that were published in May 1946, for some reason. The shark's mouth/teeth on the Donald cover is very oddly drawn, but I like it! 🎉
We ABSOLUTELY were Down at the community pool in the apt complex. All the 13 year olds hanging out hitting on the lifeguards listening to Prince and RUN-DMC

Great books Randy! That Vision 3.5 looks NICE for a 3.5! And the CBCS cases are way better than the cgc ones in my opinion.
