Whether it be good or bad, it can draw people in to watch your videos. You can also make tons of clickbait that'll give you views but you shouldn't be surprised if the dislike bar surpasses the likes bar. It's stuff like that that can garner instant views and attention but the point he was trying to make is that they are scummy and can give you a very bad reputation.
