The Interrupters - Hellfest 2024 - ARTE Concert

#THEINTERRUPTERS #HELLFEST
Cinq ans après son premier et dernier passage en date sur la scène du Hellfest, le combo ska-punk californien ‪@TheInterruptersYT‬ fait son grand retour à la Warzone.
À la différence près que, s’ils étaient encore considérés comme des espoirs du punk américain lors de leur dernière visite à Clisson, c’est désormais en poids lourd du genre qu’ils déboulent sur la scène aux miradors. Car entre-temps, le groupe emmené par l’énergie intarissable d’Aimee Allen a publié In The Wild, quatrième album sautillant entre l'allégresse du ska et les relents éthyliques des hymnes punks. Un album teinté d’optimisme sur lequel on croise notamment Tim Armstrong, chanteur de Rancid et mentor de longue date pour le groupe.
Ce sont d’ailleurs les différents groupes d’Armstrong (Rancid, The Transplants, Tim Timebomb and Friends) qui offrent dès 2009 de nombreuses premières parties à la bande alors fraîchement formée par Allen et les trois frères Bivona. L’occasion pour The Interrupters de peaufiner une formule sonique imparable capable de faire passer un public de la danse au pogo et vice-versa en une poignée de secondes.
Mais après tout, le pogo n’est-il pas une forme de danse à part entière ? On vous laisse méditer là-dessus avec leur passage en tornade sur la Warzone.
