You meter as if you are shooting at 1600. When you develop your film, you leave it longer in the chemicals. It's called "pushing" your film. I was probably shooting at 1.8, yes.
forgive me if this is a really dumb question but it can shoot in color too right? And which would you suggest for a rookie who wants to get into photography, a Fm2 or a Rebel T300?
every filmcamera can, it depends on the film. And I would highly recommend the Canon A-1, its a really good film camera which is simple to use and nearly unbreakable.
same happens with me bro! i got some great photos yesterday, trying to work with locations i walk everyday by and i didn't think they were any special..
When the video shoter gets better images that the sudo photographer. 😆 Is not that the shots are blurry, everything is out of focus even the drunk girl toke a better photo. Maybe get your eyes check or quit photography all together and save the time and energy in something else.
I agree, pictures I took were terrible. Not every shoot is going to be a banger. Sure, I can heavily only select to display the great images. But we all know, in the personal journey one takes into photography, mistakes will be made and bad pictures will be taken. I'm proud to display the good, the bad and the ugly. If you stop every time you fail at something, you'll never be successful at anything. Also, I challenge anyone to photograph on the fly, drunk people on the dimly streets, where my settings were around ASA 1600, 1\60th and 1.8 to get acceptable exposure. As someone who is terrified of street photography and terribly socially introverted, I'm quite happy with the single fact that I went out and did this. And must I add, to play devil's advocate, the drunk girl was the only one with the chance to photograph a willing subject standing still. Cheers, thanks for watching the video.
The girl at 4:50 took the best photo here.
it's funny because it's true
And she was drunk 🥴
@@MeAlexSenna ha!
Just found your channel looking for Halloween Street Photography. Perfect combination of your style and the videographer.
04:50 chiks dig film.
lmao they do
This is a dreamy combo. Wish I can get an FM2 soon. Unfortunately you had too many back-focused shots, just an observation. Cool video!
Very nice! Love the images and the music. Keep up the good work!
Another cool video! I just picked up a FM2 recently and I'm looking forward to shooting with it. Do you develop your own black and white film?
Yes I develop my own B&W. Just picked up some rodinal (blazinal in canada) and have been experimenting with stand development.
Very cool! I still haven't gotten into home developing but I would like to try it one day.
Dan Bullman Photography "I still have not got into"
Very nice. Really loved that first shot..... totally worth it
Haha, probably my favorite of that night. What seemed like a possible sketchy situation at first, turned out for a great photo opportunity. Cheers!
wow it's so amazing! ilford pan400 can be like this?@1600
thank you!
2 questions..
how is it possible to have your iso set for 1600 when it's a 400 film?
did you keep the aperture at 1.8 for the whole night?

Dachene that's super interesting. so you set the ISO to 1600 on the camera and compensated by developing longer?
Yes. This will result in grainier and more contrasty images. But opens up many possibilities.

you got some dope locations there dude
It's funny how locations I see everyday seem mundane to me, but can actually be interesting to someone else. Haha Cheers
